Yusra's P.O.VI woke up at fajr time with shamshad for prayers. We both washed up ourselves and headed downstairs forbreakfast.
I prepared some toast while shamshad was busy making eggrolls. " i think it'll be better if we make a huge sum of it than less, we can yake some for the others to eat them on the way to work. What do you think?" i asked shamshad who was focusing on making sure not to burn the frying pan." no problem just dont make me loose my focus or else.....we both know what'll come next" shamshad said still focused on the frying pan. I left the kitchen to arrange the table while laughing and before i could even reach the dinning table my mom came down from the stairs. "Assalam aleykum mom" i greeted her.
"Waalaykum salaam habibty, how's your morning? Wow it smells good in here" mom said while entering the kitchen. I finnished arranging the dinning table and came back to the kitchen hearing my mom saying " .....dont forget to keep some for my son, he came i...." i wasnt able to continue listening to more right after I heard ".....so he slept in your room..." so i decided to burst in
"mom he slept where?" I asked
Mom answered telling us both " he slept in my daughter's room, and darling next time try doing some cleaning you really dont know how much we went through just to make sure he has a suitable place to sleep."" but why her room and not the kids room. You know thats a woman's room mom he could have seen things that he doesnt desearve to see" yusra reasoned.
" dont worry, if thats the problem and pretty sure he has seen more than enough with how much it was last night. By the way darling what were you trying to find?, it didnt look like you were just trying to untidy you room."mom asked shamshad but I nagged before shamshad could say anything
" what? He what mom?, okay now that's jus...." mom interupted me by saying " i didnt seem to ask you anything so let my daughter answer me first okay?." before shamshad could say anything we heard a honk from the drive way indicating that farha was already here to pick us up.
I have never been relieved for a conversation to be interupted ever in my life but there is always a first in everything right?
"well arent they here early, go dress yourselves and make sure to wrap up breakfast while i keep them busy for some time." we went upstairs to prepare ourselves and while comming down i decided to check if 'he' was still in the house.
I first knocked on the door and heard no response so i opened the door to find it empty and tidy. Well i guess they did i good job cleaning up the room from how mom described it to be yesterday.
I checked the kids room right before going doown stairs and to my notice, it was locked. so i put a reminder to ask mom about that later at night. After some chit chatting with mom, she bid us goodbye with hugs and sloppy kisses then we climbed in farha's car. In the car at the front shamshad was in the passenger's seat with farha at the driver's sit.
Kawthar, Hasina, Shamsa and I were seated at the back." you will never guess what happened today" i said with amusemement in my voice and added with a cringy voice "you should have seen shamshad's face after she knew it all, she was like aawwhh....." shamshad interuptedme with her scary threatening eyes and decided
" you know what.... Maybe we should stop talkin about this here or else if eyes could burn then i'd be ashes by know with the stares am getting from this miss right here" i said pionting right close to shamshad's eyeballs.
"you better get you fingers away from my face before i bite them off" she threated me and added "and no, nothing happened today so none of you better guess anything" then she turned back to face infront. We four at the back, loked at each other then laughed out loud.
