Not one person in the room said anything, as we entered. Cason and Adam had been staring at Nathan non-stop while Rider furthermore glared at him. Dale wasn't present.

"Alright, can we please stop staring at each other now? It's getting awkward", I told everyone, who began shifting their eyes to a different location.

Adam came foward first to Nathan.

"Adam", he coughed out.

"Nathan"

"And that's Cason over there. I'm sure you've already met Rider", Adam continued.

"Yea, we met"

Rider rolled his eyes as if it were a bad thing what Nathan said and paced around the room.

"Hey, where's Dale?", I trotted over to Cason who was sitting there silently.

Nathan and Adam were into a conversation already while Rider was still pacing around the room for who knows what reason.

"He went to go make sure that every place was secured. It's already starting to get dark out and he wants to make sure we are safe while the zombies are out there", Cason said.

Dale was so amazing, literally. He is our big brother, taking care of us, making sure nothing ever happens to any of us. I could see why. There are possibly no other humans around and if he were to lose one of us or at one at a time, imagine the loneliness. I can't bear to think about that if that ever happened.

The door opened, entering was Dale. His first contact was with Nathan.

There he was.

The reason why I had come here.

The one I had to kill.

I should just get it over with and kill him right here.

I checked my surrounding and I knew I would be outnumbered. I would have to wait until I'm alone with him.

"Nathan, this is Dale" Marley said.

Dale took a quick look over me and made small steps toward me.

"Who sent you here?" he asked in a tone which demanded an answer.

He knows.

I gave him a puzzled expression to hide the fact that I was sent by someone.

"Dale, what are you talking about? He wasn't sent by anyone" Marley responded.

"Tell me then, why do I have this bad feeling in my gut" he said.

I stood there unresponsive knowing that everything was going to fall apart. He knew something and I couldn't do anything else to hide it.

"Maybe you need to see a doctor about that and he's staying" Marley came to my rescue and grabbed onto my wrist, taking me out of the room with her.

"You don't have the choice of making the decision whether he stays or not" Dale argued back.

Marley ignored him still dragging me along with her.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked , not feeling comfortable around these people.

"I want to tell you something.." Marely trailed off, sounding as if she still had something to say.

"What?" I asked dumbly. She still had my hand in a vise grip as she dragged me through the deserted mall passed all the empty stores.

"Just sit down and I'll explain okay?" She said pushing me into a mattress store. Me being a guy started thinking dirty, why was she bringing me to a mattress store?

I raised my eyebrow suggestively and when she understood what I meant her face turned a bright red.

"NO NO NO NO NO NO NO . NO. EW" she screamed covering her madly blushing face. "I just brought you here because I figured that it would be a good place to sleep, nothing sexual. And if you try anything I will cut you" she said with a serious face.

"Okay okay" I said putting my hands up defensively and falling backwards onto a bed. It felt wonderful. It's been a while since I've had the chance to sleep on a real bed.

"Your not going to hurt us right?" Her question took me off guard along with the vulnerable tone she used .

"What?" was the only reply I could think of at the moment.

"I said , your not going to hurt any of us right? " I looked over at her to see her fidgeting her hands in her lap.

"No, I would never" I said clearing my throat awkwardly.

"You promise me?" She said looking into my eyes.

"I promise"

"Good, because that's my family out there, and you hurt any of them, I will hurt all of you." she said squinting at me seriously.

I simply nodded and laid back down. I did not prepare for this.

I heard shuffling on one of the other beds before I heard Marely get settled.

"Goodnight Nathan" was the last thing I heard before falling into a anything but peaceful sleep.

I walked into a room. It was surrounded with nothing but white. Bemused, I looked around trying to discover why I was here. Someone called out my name. A female. I couldn't see her face. I only could see her hair flowing over her face and a white dress that wrapped neatly around her body.

"Who are you?" I called out hoping to get a response.

The girl said nothing but turned away, fleeing. I followed behind her but as I took my first step, I fell and all I could feel was the movement of free-falling.

"Nathan, hey nathan wake up you sleepy head" a voice said as I tried opening my eyes. I sat upward startled and then remembered where I was.

"Woah, calm down I'm not going to hurt you" Marley held a firm grip on my shoulder to keep me from falling off the bed.

"Sorry" was all I could say and stared into her eyes.

God, she was beautiful. Her eyes gave off a warm color of brown and her face gave out a nice feature.

I noticed that she was also staring into my eyes so I quickly broke the moment and threw the covers off myself.

She reached into her bag, pulling out two granola bars and tossed one towards me.

"Breakfast", she said, unwrapping the wrap that surrounded the bar.

"Oh" is all I managed to say and also began unwrapping mine too.

It was dead silent. Awkward. Halfway finished through her granola bar, she paused, taking a long look at me.

"Tell me about yourself", the words escaping from her lips.

"Um, okay. What do you want to know?" I replied putting down my bar.

She looked to the ground, musing for a couple moments.

"What are your fears?"...
