It's a dark a chilly day in October. The wind blows down furiously on me, threatening to blow me down the small city street. I'm on my way to my small low paying job as a comedian at one of the smallest back-alley bars in town, it's all I could find after all, and the bills need to be paid.

I make a right turn to the shadiest part of town, It's not the safest place for a girl like me to be in this part of town, and at almost midnight too, but I think I'm strong enough to take care of myself. I head through the small door. The small mostly broken neon sign next to it reads "Thirst". What kind of name is that for a bar? I try not to question it most of the time. As I slide in go mostly unnoticed by anyone. I sign my name and put the date and time on a little sign in sheet that workers are supposed to use. [11:51pm/Oct. 16th] I find it a little stupid that we don't have a better system, but what do I expect, this is a tiny and very crappy bar.

There is barely anyone here, although a few small groups of people can be heard talking, all obviously sounding very drunk. It's best to try to avoid them, They get so violent over the smallest things. Good thing they think you're funny when they decide to pay the smallest bit of attention to you. The alcohol probably helps with that.

I slowly wander over to your small place on the tiny stage, removing your large dark coat to reveal a cheap and itchy <Insert any color here> dress. It's good enough for this kind of job.

I sit down on the slightly unstable wooden chair and tap my finger on the mic a couple times to make sure it's on. Doing my best to sound enthusiastic I begin your usual routine. "So how's everyone doing tonight?" I look out in front of me to realize that I'm talking to no one. The only person I spot before me is sitting in the far corner and appears to be asleep. Fuck this, I'm so done. I decide that no one would be paying attention to me anytime soon, they're all too busy playing with the owner and making out with random people that they havn't even seen before.

I make my way over to the bar and sit in one of the only stools that wasn't broken yet. I sigh and look up at the mostly mute bartender as he cleans some glasses, the name Seamus written across his name tag. I didn't know too much about him, but he never caused any trouble and seemed to be the nicest to me. "I'll have the usual." I say. He gives me a slight smile (that's rare) and hands me a tall strawberry milkshake. I never really liked having alcohol, especially not in places like this where anything could happen.

I looked over to the stage where I once sat to see a small mysterious jazz band that had taken their place there. They didn't play here often. No one knew much about them, but there were rumors that they went by the names Immortal, Nova, and Danz. They continued to play a depressing yet calming tune to fit the gloomy mood.

As I began to sip on my milkshake I looked over to the other side of the place. Blegh. Just looking over there made me sick. Sat there at one of the bigger tables was the owner, Kootra, that was definitely drunk and sat next to 2 girls dressed in kinky cat outfits. He was also accompanied by his newest "friend" Dex. This would probably be the last time anyone would see him around here. People seem to disappear often when they get too close to the owner.

It wasn't until when I was nearly done with my smoothie that I realized the weird taste to it. I felt more tired than before and a little out of it. "H hey Seamus...." I managed to mumble out. "Yeah?" he asked looking over at me. "Did you uhhhh, maybe put something in m my smoothie?" I quickly caught myself after almost falling of of the bar stool. "No, it should be the same as usual." he said looking a bit confused. I looked back over at the owner and his gaze caught mine. He winked at me. It made me want to throw up. Wait.... Could he have something to do with my smoothie? I bet.. I bet.... I struggled to finish my thought as I felt myself start to pass out. Great. Just what I needed. Who knows what will happen to me now.

BUT, wait, a I being picked up? The last thing I see is the face of the owner in the distance not looking too happy. Who has me, where are they taking me, and most importantly, what do they want with me?
