That next day, Wren stayed in her room for the most part. That was what was good about living in a dorm. You could stay inside without having to go out to eat or use the restroom since the bathroom was built right into the rooms. The only thing needed was a stash of food that was "borrowed" from cafeterias.

Wren has only gotten up early to take some food to her room. But there was no bathroom in there. She'd have to be sneaky to going to use the restroom.

Today....was different. It was just around the corner, the full moon. She couldn't risk going out and accidentally physically hurt someone, it just wasn't fair and besides, it would totally out herself from her secret.

Wren stared at the big red circle marked on her calendar. Tonight's the night.

_____

'The most commonly known weakness of the werewolves is silver. For some unknown reason, silver weakens a werewolves' power to a great extent, some have even used it to repel them and even hunt them.

The full moon is when werewolves' power is strongest. It is best to keep away from them and keep your distance by staying indoors.'

"Pssh! That would be easy if one didn't already live indoors!" Aaron pushed to the side, "Well, the full moon's tonight. Should I visit her room? Nah, she'd be in an unstable state right now. Hmm... then what should I do...?"

"Hey, Aaron I was wondering-"

I didn't look up at who it was and just slammed the book closed.

"Aaron?" I tried to cover the book the best I could and looked up to see a certain red head.

"Oh Macy! Sorry about that, you just startled me."

"The great, brave Aaron, startled?" Macy raised an eyebrow.

"Hey, there's a difference between being scared and being startled." I defended.

"Okay, so what are you doing?" Macy asked.

"Uh well... a new hobby of mine." Aaron cane up with an excuse.

"Ah, so I see." Macy was marveled by the book. Aaron, out of protection for the wolf girl, held his arm over the cover of it.

"Lance did say something about you researching monsters or something... never really thought you actually did that...!" Macy then said.

"Heh, you know me! Always unpredictable!" Aaron laughed nervously, an awkward silence then arose, "Well, I'm going to head out see ya!" Aaron rushed out of the room, leaving a very confused Macy.

'Screw the full moon I'm going to see Wren...'

He opened the door open to Wren's room and notice the room was very dark, so he could not see her. But then, two yellow orbs blink in the distance and come forward into the light.

"Wren, hey." Aaron walks in and locks the door behind him, preventing anyone from possibly knowing Wren's a werewolf.

"Hey." Wren weakly said. Her ears and tail were visible and twitching at her movements.

"Are you okay...?" Aaron worryingly ask. Wren nodded meekly and held up a necklace with a silver pendant at the end.

"I have to make sure not to accidentally hurt you..." Wren looked down, clutching onto the pendant.

"Right, silver weakens your strength..." Aaron mumbles to himself, "Anyways, how are you doing? Since, you know..."

"I'm doing alright but..." She stops and looks down, her tail sways in anticipation.

"But what...?"

"Why do you want to know how I'm feeling?" The question took him by surprise, "I feel I only made your life more complicated. I made you keep a secret that not even your closest friends know about. So why? Why is it that you care so much about me? Why do you need to know how I'm feeling?! I never once got the appreciation for being myself besides my mom! So why is it now that someone takes time for me-!" She gasps in surprise since Aaron is now hugging her.

"It's because you're special and you deserve it." The answer was simple, sure but there really wasn't anymore to it. It wasn't until Aaron said that that Wren decided to hug back.

Wren softy smiled, but not before nuzzling the nook of Aaron's neck. This definitely shocked Aaron but eventually he got used to the feeling and let her do it.

"Ah!! Aaron! I'm sorry, I didn't realize that I was doing that." Wren pushed away from him, and then pushed her scarf up over her face.

"It's fine." Aaron chuckled a bit not wanting to admit that he actually enjoyed that.

"Hey, Aaron? Think I can go outside for a bit? Just until sunset since you know, werewolves and full moons don't really go together." Wren asked shyly.

"Well.... I don't see why not!" Aaron smiled and they went forth to the outside of the Fortrex. Wren immediately ran out eagerly awaiting the much needed time to stretch her legs. "Remember only for a little bit, before going back inside!" Aaron calls after her. She smiled back and nodded.

It was soon over that the sun was then dipping into the horizon and making the sky splashed with different colors that blended well with each other. Aaron went up to Wren to get her back inside but that's was when things took the turn for the worse.

"Wren, it's time to head back. The moon will be up soon and-" Aaron then stopped at the sudden growl that came from Wren. She turned around and started towards Aaron who just tried his best to back away and calm her down.  I Her eyes were now glowing yellow, her hair was messier than usual and she was now bearing her fangs.

"Wren, c-come on, it's me, Aaron." He was visibly getting more and more nervous now that Wren started closing the gap between the two all while snarling. Aaron looked up at the suddenly rising, bright moon and then tripped backwards and fell towards the ground. He braced himself as the werewolf was now up close to Aaron's face. He expected his neck to be snapped right then and there but nope.

Wren was now fully in her wolf form. She leaned over and nuzzled Aaron's cheek affectionately before looking at him with big, sad eyes.

"What are you-" Aaron never got to finish his sentence because next thing he knew....

She was gone.
