"Creativity takes courage." -Henri Matisse
Every writer has asked this soul-crushing question: Am I good enough?
I'm here to tell you the answer.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter. Why? Because you're going to get better. No matter what your skills are now, they will get better with practice. You'll learn how to write better characters, better dialogue, better descriptions, and better plot twists.
If you really want to be a writer, you won't give up on your writing. Even if it's garbage. Even if it's the worst thing you've ever written. Because you know what? The worst thing you've ever written is better than that epic story you never started.
You're a writer. It doesn't matter if you're good enough.
It doesn't matter because you're not going to give up.
One of my teachers once said, "There are a lot of people better than you, doing what you're doing. There are also a lot of people worse than you, doing what you're doing."
So let's not compare ourselves to each other. Let's learn from each other instead.
Let's get better.
