*Israel Broussard*

When I was six years-old I wanted to be a fire fighter

when I was thirteen I was goth, I wanted to be in a rock band

when I was seventeen I wanted to be a writer

And now I'm an english teacher

it's really funny how when you're young you can know you want something so bad that you'll never take your eyes off the prize. but I also remember telling myself that I'd never ever be like my teachers, assigning so much homework and being cranky like all the damn time. but now I get to walk in their shoes. and the fact that I'm back at Chassman highschool, the same exact highschool I graduated from, literally giving everyone a big middle finger saying they'll never see me again. That by the time they do they'll be asking for an autographed copy if my best seller. So yeah this is a big bite in the ass.

Three bangs on the bathroom door bring me back to reality.

"Dude you're taking all the damn hot water! And I'm gonna be late!" Shouted Nick through the other side of the bathroom door.

"Go next door! You're girlfriend will let you in, in a heart beat." I rolled my eyes, dipping my head back into the hot water.

"I would but we're still fighting, and you know how much I hate giving in." I could hear his weight pressed against the door, "cmon man now I gotta wizzz."

"Go pee on your life size cactus!" I shouted over the water

"No!" He shouted in repulse. That guy really loves cactuses, "okay, you did this, sorry man." I can hear the door handle wiggle. I smile, knowing damn well he can't get in. I grin in delight...until I hear a click. My eyes open in fear, "Uh are you entering the bathroom?" The door closes, "Nicholas?"

"You shoulda just gotten outta the shower." I hear a toilet flush. The water turns from warm hot to hot hot instantly. The burning sensation hurts my balls and makes me scream as if I never hit puberty, "Damnit Nick!"

He chuckled and struts out. I open the shower curtain and jump out. I wrap a towel around my wet body and go to my room. Nick struts pass me with his towel over his shoulder. He hums to sweet Caroline. Even tho we've gone throughout middle school, high school, college, and are now living together. I gotta say he still surprises me here and there. Nick honestly makes up for the fact that I'm an only child.

I slammed my door shut and stood at the front of my bed. My outfit for today. It was a white suite shirt and some navy blue dress pants. Along with some black dress shoes. I put them on and dried my hair. I shaved my face and put on after shave. I got my things together. My briefcase, papers, pens, and back pack.

After making sure I have everything I needed, I walked out to the kitchen to find Nick pouring himself yet another pot of coffee. Nick worked as an assistant to one of the biggest gaming software companies in Texas. And by "assistant" yes I mean he got them all coffee. He poured me a glass, and tugged at my cheek, I chuckled swatting his hand away.

"You excited?" He smirked. I sighed loudly, "that bad huh? Okay listen don't worry." He sat down next to me, "if you have a shitty day we'll go get shit faced!" He exclaimed, "if I have a shitty day, we'll get shit faced!"

"we always have a shitty day." my voice echoed in the mug, I took a sip, "we're just two unhappy boys."

"I know, that's why we're best friends." He said basically inhaling his coffee, "I just need Candice to see that I'm not moping around for her."

"But you are." I raised my eyebrows

"And how's Julie huh?" He smirked crossing his arms

"Okay fine we'll get shit faced, now can I go to school." I stared off at the table in disgust, "never thought I'd beg those words."
