Harry’s POV
Jill only had 3 months left, so she was now in her third trimester. We had decided on the name Annabelle Darcy Hoffman, since Darcy was another choice of a first name but, Annabelle was sentimental to Jill and I really liked it. Our daughter’s initials would be ADH. Haha. Our daughter. She wasn’t mine, but Jillian and I were together. I would be raising her. I wondered when we would tell her the truth about her father, she had to know...
It was late and I was in Jillian’s flat, in what would be the baby’s room. It was ivory and pale, shiny type of pink. I was folding some clothes, and then I realized something.
“Jill,” I called out to her.
“Yeah.” She responded, coming in the room.
“We need to live together when the baby gets here.”
“I know.” There was silence for a second.
“Well, we need to figure out where and what not.” She nodded.
“I know, I just haven’t gave much thought to it.”
“I’m going to have to move out, away from Lou.” It hit me. I had grown so used to his morning loudness and humor. But, I needed to live with Jill and Annabelle, it w
as my responsibility.
“You sure?” I nodded in defeat.
“There’s no other option. Let me go tell him right now.” She nodded and pecked me right before I left.
I walked into our flat. It was dark. Was he even home? I called out to him.
“Lou, where are you?” I said, turning on the lights. All I heard was Molly playing with her yarn. I haven’t been playing with her all that much lately. I picked her up and apologized, kissed her and put her down. “Louis?” Then I heard a creek, and then saw shirtless Louis come out of his room. “Oh, hey.”
“Hey, Haz.” He started. “I’ve got Eleanor in my room.”
“Oh, how is she?”
“Good. Umm, Haz, we were going to.... yeah, but then you came, but we still, umm.... this is awkward.” It sunk in, I was getting between Louis and Eleanor in an uncomfortable way. I was a little embarrassed but I laughed.
“Oh, sorry, mate.” I said chuckling.
“Is there something important you have to say?”
“There actually is.” I said, sitting down.
“Then, by all means, say it.” He spoke, sitting next to me.
“Soon, I’ll have to move out. Since Annabelle’s going to be here in just months and me and Jill...” He cut me off, nodding.
“I understand, mate. I knew this was coming, I just didn’t know when exactly. I’ll miss you, of course.”
“Lou, I’ll be three doors down.”
“I know, but I’ve grown so used to living with my best friend.” I nodded.
“So have I. But, I have to do what’s best.”
“Yes, you do.” He said, before a short pause.
“So, I didn’t completely cock block you and Eleanor, did I? You can still go?” He laughed and then nodded.
“It takes A LOT to cock block me and Eleanor.” I chuckled and left.
“How’d he take it?” Jill asked.
“He had a hunch.” I said. She sat on her bed, tired.
“Oh God,” She started, rubbing her stomach. I gently stroked it, and then suddenly, felt the kick. What I’ve been waiting for, I finally felt it kick. It was kicking quite a lot.
“I think you’ve conceived a MMA fighter.” She chuckled. “Well, I’m tired. I think I’ll call it a day.”
“Remember, we...”
“Have a doctor’s appointment and we need to rent the hall for the baby shower tomorrow, I know.” I grinned and she smiled.
“Good.” She patted me on the head. She pecked me and said goo night before I left to go to my flat.
Louis POV
Me and Eleanor got off the bed and put or clothes back on. She sat down, putting her boots on. I came from behind and hugged her.
“I love you.” I said.
“I love you, too.” She said, turning and kissing me softly. We rose up, and walked out to see Haz come in our flat.
“Hey, El.” He said, as they hugged.
“Hi, Hazza.” She responded, separating. “How are you?”
“Good, and you?”
“Good, how’s Jill?”
“She’s great.”
“Good, she’s 6 months, no?”
“Yeah, 6 months.”
“Yeah, well, I’ll see you later.”
“Bye.” We walked out of our flat and downstairs to my car, so I could drop El home. On our way there, in the silence I grinned.
“Ely Belly,” I started, as she chuckled. “Haz is moving out soon.”
“You told me.” She responded. “Why are you smiling like that?”
“We’ve been together for a while. Do you want to live together?” She paused for a moment, then grinned with me.
“You mean, move in when Harry moves out?” I hesitated. It sounded a tad bit weird, but it’s not like I was replacing Haz. He had to move out and it would be good if Eleanor and I lived together.
“Well, yeah, I think we should be living together. It would be good.”
“It would be good. Alright then, I’ll move in.” I smiled. We were finally at her house. Like I normally would, I got out and opened the door for her. Outside her door, we kissed, told each other we loved each other and said goodnight before I left. Almost immediately after I got home I went to bed. I went to sleep thinking about El. I really love her. I can’t wait until she moves in.
I woke up thinking about Eleanor, so I was smiling. I looked at the time, 11:50. It was later than I usually woke up. I freshened up and went to the kitchen. Haz probably wasn’t home; he had to do stuff with Jill. While eating breakfast, I got a call from him. I thought this was a good time to tell him about Eleanor moving in.
“Louis!” He screamed when I answered the phone.
“Harry!” I screamed back. “It’s good you called, I want to tell you something.”
“So do I, but let’s see if you can top my new first.”
“After you move out, Eleanor is going to move in. We’re finally going to live together.”
“That’s good, you’ve been together long enough.”
“Yeah, so what did you need to tell me?” I suddenly felt his energy, his excitement. What the hell did I miss?
