A/N: You like so far? Good…I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while, I had to go to Virginia since my uncle had an anccident. I didn't have wi-fi there for 80% of the time and when I did my cuzcuz/bestie was distracting me.
Okay, I hope you continue to like it, Goblins. Enjoy!
Jillian’s POV
I woke up on the couch, and saw Harry unpacking some of my stuff. I rubbed my eyes and got up, deciding to ask him what happened.
“Did I fall asleep?” I asked sleepily. He saw me and stopped unpacking.
“No, you fainted.” He replied
“Fainted? Why?”
“The doctor said it was a just a pregnancy symptom, and that you should take it easy. Whenever you have to lift something heavy, just call me or one of the boys to do it.”
“Oh, okay. Do you need help?”
“Yeah, we have to drape these.” He pulled out my light blue chiffon drapes. I took one end and he took the other. Just as we finished, the phone rang.
“Hello?” I answered it. A computer replied.
“Hi, this is the English Women’s Health Clinic. I would just like to remind Jillian Hoffman that she has an appointment today at 3:45 with Dr. Janet Cheshire.” I hung up the phone. I almost forgot about my appointment. I looked at the time, 2:54. The clinic was about a half an hour drive.
“Harry!”
“Yeah?” He hollered back
“You have to drive me to a doctor’s appointment.” He walked into the living room.
“Sure, when?”
“Right now. Give me 3 minutes to get ready, and then I’ll give you the address so we can go.” He nodded in agreement. I bolted to my room. I got out of my nighty and into a dark, long batwing shirt and dark grey jeggings. I brushed my hair super quickly and grabbed my phone. “Ready!” I yelled going back into the living room.
“Let’s roll.” He said as we speed out of my flat. I gave him the address in the car and we actually made it, just in time. We only waited for 10 minutes before my name was called. But, before I went to the room, the nurse stopped me for a minute.
“Won’t he come?” She said, referring to Harry. I thought for a minute. If it didn’t have a real father, it should have some type of father figure, and Harry was it. As he looked up from his phone, I motioned him to come, and he did. The nurse chuckled, then left. We went to the room, and waited for the doctor.
“Are you ready?” Harry asked me, breaking the silence.
“Well,” I started. “I have to be, don’t I?” I smiled softly but confidently. He smiled back, and nodded. The doctor finally walked in.
“So, Ms.Hoffman,” She started. “You are one month now, correct?” I nodded. “So, what are your typical symptoms?” Harry decided to answer it before I got the chance.
“Obviously, hormonal behavior. But, otherwise, she has drowsiness, nausea, fainting and heart burn.” He answered. The doctor looked at me.
“He’s pretty much covered it.” I said chuckling. She nodded.
“Okay then. Have you been seeing any other doctors?”
“I’ve only on other once, when I fainted.”
“Oh, do you have his contact information?”
“I do! Here’s his card.” Harry said giving her the card.
“Oh, thank you.”
“Excuse me, while I go to the powder room.” After he left, Dr.Cheschire looked at me.
“He’s a good choice, I can tell.” She commented on Harry’s knowledge and interaction with my journey to motherhood. I nodded.
“Yeah, he is. I’m lucky.”
“You really are. Sometimes couples come in here and the man has barely accepted that pregnancy is his responsibility, as well. Mean while, your man has owned it.”
“Yeah, he’s amazing. He would be a great father.”
“Would be?”
“Yeah, he’s not the father. My ex boyfriend is, but her left me.”
“Oh, wow. I’m so sorry. At least you’ve chosen someone better now.” I thought. I haven’t chosen Harry to be a father or my new boyfriend, have I?
