"Hello everyone!" Peggy greeted as she let everyone inside. She closed the door behind everyone and sprinted ahead, jumping onto the couch. Honestly, looking around you'd think a reindeer threw up throughout the whole house.
Wreaths and streamers we're strung on almost every wall, a giant Christmas tree stood in the middle of the room, and Peggy had found some reindeer, santa, and elf plushies that she had just kinda thrown everywhere. There was random glitter and paper scattered across the floor, from what, no one knew.
Peggy might have over done it on the tree, but she wasn't about to admit that. You could barely even see any tree. Ornaments covered the whole thing, with a few garland strands and pieces of tinsel. A star was precariously placed on top. Everyone stood there looking at everything. You would've thought everyone was amazed, but they were mostly thinking-
What the f*ck.
"Peggy, why are you dressed like that?" Alex asked, taking notice of her ugly Christmas sweater and Christmas tree headband.
"It's called being festive, Alex, something you obviously don't know how to do."
Alex was the only one not wearing anything Christmas related.
"My red hair is festive enough."
"Peggy, you should get some green paint so we can make his hair both Christmas colors." John said, grinning.
Her eyes lit up but Alex intervened.
"Oh, no you don't. I would like my hair to stay as it is."
"Fine."
She helped them bring in all the presents and bags they had. Once the presents were situated under the tree, she turned to the kitchen.
"Yo! Angie, Liza, the guys are here!"
Angelica stuck her head out, a bit of flour in her hair.
"Hello, boys! Yes, I know there's flour in my hair, Eliza somehow knocked over the bag of flour and it kinda got everywhere. We'll be done in a minute though." She said before ducking back into the kitchen.
Everyone sat down on the couch and the other recliners. As soon as the two girls joined them, Peggy was up again.
"Ok so since it's snowing, I think we should go outside. Like, right now. Let's go." She said, not letting anyone say anything before jumping up and running to her room to put on more clothes. Everyone looked at each other, shrugging before doing the same.
John was finishing bundling up when he turned around and saw Alex.
"Alex, oh my God! You look like Ralph and Andy from A Christmas Story!" He said laughing. Which was true. Alex's arms were practically stuck straight out from all the layers he had put on.
"What! No I don't!" He said, his voice slightly muffled from the scarf wrapped around his mouth.
John just laughed and shook his head. Everyone had bundled up so they all headed outside. Hercules started a snowball fight, which quickly got intense. They all had started in teams with Hercules and Lafayette, Angelica and Eliza, Peggy and Maria, and Alex and John. But Peggy ruined that. As soon as she got the chance, she threw a snowball at the back of Maria's head. Maria had turned around, made a snowball, and started chasing her. So now, it was every man for himself.
Alex was struggling, mostly from the way too many clothes he was wearing. In one single unlucky step, he tripped, faceplanting into the snow. John noticed, and went to help him while everyone else continued pelting each other. He walked over and rolled him over, only to be met with Alex's snow covered face. Laughing, he reached down and helped get some of the snow off.
