The wind that blew that late afternoon caused her neatly-fixed hair looked like it has not been combed at all. Standing under that century old tree felt like decades. She kept herself from looking at her wristwatch to prevent the rate of anxiety from increasing. If there’s one thing she hated about her job, it is waiting – in vain sometimes.
Trying to suppress her anger, she walked and eyed the bench located meters away from the tree where she’s supposed to meet her associate. However, before she could reach her destination, a couple stopped and sat there. Now, she’s caught between moving forward and going back. There was actually no problem with sitting beside couples, the problem was with her.
She paused and if it was of any consolation, he did look at her. His piercing eyes gaze unto hers sending thousands of memories both spent by them. She did not believe in commitment so did he; but both of them can only agree that what they shared was at least a taste of what was commonly perceived as love. And just like a rereading the chapters of a book the moments they had together started unfolding.
His fingers slowly lingered into her smooth skin keeping it hard for her not to moan. They were all over her body – top to bottom then vice versa. His heat radiates and she could feel him becoming more eager to know every inch of her. To make their jobs easier, he then lay her on the waiting bed – he on top of her. His tongue has been probing inside hers making their breaths heavier. In pure instinct, her hands then rounded his neck, then slowly moving them to the buttons of his long sleeved polo. She was about to protest when his mouth left hers but ecstasy rushed into her system when she felt his warm and moist tongue trailing down her neck down to her breasts. It was hard for her to keep those tingling sensations and so she deliberately opened her mouth and was about to say his name...
“Aherm,” a voice broke from behind her. Reality brought her senses back to the park where she was standing – few meters from the bench where she was supposed to stay. She turned and saw a guy in suit with a sympathetic smile. “Mary?
“Mr. Sheeran?” she guessed.
He nodded in reply. “Sorry to keep you waiting. I had an urgent meeting to attend to. I was under the impression to consider myself lucky to have you still even if I’m particularly half an hour late.” He smiled sheepishly.
“ Apology accepted.” Then her red painted lips drew a sexy smile.
“Well, can I treat you to dinner first?”
“I think it would be better if we’ll have it served inside the room,” she suggested.
She could see his eyes twinkle in excitement. “Tempting,” he commented. “Shall we go now?” He reached out his hands.
She quickly ran her fingers through her hair and naughtily winked at him. She moved and let his arms sled on her waist. They then indulged into a series of make believe conversations and lost themselves in time.
She did not turn again and check the couple on the bench – specially the guy who had been eyeing her. He didn’t know much of her but she dedicated most of her life for him. They only shared one night together. One night of a whirlwind romance. One night of lust. One night when he got into a serious fight with his wife. One night when she thought she could put back everything in pieces.
