I pulled at the hem or my sweater as I waited quietly at the front desk of White Wood Winter Resort, owned by my Aunt Carly. I chewed on my bottom lip, a new habit caused by the cold dry weather making my lips chapped.
My eyes fluttered to the door being opened and snow flying inside. I then checked the time on the old grandfather clock above the fire place.
"Welcome to White Wood." I smiled as real as possible, even though I was so extremely bored.
"Hi." The lady said putting her large, rather heaving looking bags down on the floor next to her. She was one out of the many stereo types, the new family. Following behind her were her 3 children. The youngest pulling on her hand. The middle child touching and exploring everything in sight and ask countless questions. And the oldest, who was to caught up in the 8th grade to talk or associate with anything unless it had to do with her clique, and her also being absolutely embarrassed by the rest of her family, because she was perfect. And the dad was off somewhere getting bags and parking there Toyota Mini Van.
There were many other stereo types I've seen here at the resort. Like newlyweds, anniversary couples, perky blondes, athletes, obnoxious 16 year olds, and most-likely-on-crack-men. They all annoyed me in some sort of way, but hey what doesn't.
I checked the family into their room and then looked back at the clock, then back down at my desk placing the 'break' sign in front of me.
Walking into the break room, I pulled out a piece of gum from my jean pocket. I slid into a seat. I checked my new twitter and Instagram I had made to avoid the boys. I had even changed my number.
"Sweetheart." I jumped looking up from my phone.
"Oh hi." It was just aunt Carly.
"El, darling could I ask you to do some extra work around the hotel?" She said in a very sweet tone.
"Um sure, why?"
"I had to uh, let go of some of the employees. Business isn't doing well these days." Carly sighed.
"Oh I'm sorry. What can I do!" The thought of this place closing and me going back home scared me. 1st off I grew up here, so many memories. And 2nd I couldn't bear to go back to my real life, my real home.
"There's this large group coming to stay. I forget the name, umm cagmon-wait no maycon. Err I'm not sure something like that." My heart dropped.
"You mean, magcon?" I said quietly.
"Oh yes, that's it! Well I need you to book them and help them with whatever they need. If they like it here, it's possible to bring in more business and more money!" She cheered.
"Ok." I mumbled. Why out of everywhere in the world. They had to come here.

It was now 10:00 pm and I was heading to my suite. It was actually very luxurious living at a resort. I got to stay on the top floor, which was usually empty besides me because nobody wanted to pay for it up here. But no this would be the last night of silence up here. The boys were coming tomorrow night and they were staying on MY floor.
-
I woke up the next morning tired and groggy. I didn't sleep well the night before because the thoughts of seeing the boys again overwhelmed me. Taylor and Shawn. I just couldn't do it. But I had to.
I took a quick shower and blew dried my hair. I kept my hair down, side parted and put on the normal, maroon sweater and skinny jeans. I brushed my teeth did my make up and slid on my ugg boots leaving my room for the day I guess.
-
I quietly sat down at the front desk and quietly nervously waited for them to arrive. What if they hated me now. What if they decided I was an ugly whore. What if they thought I was just leading them on. All the what ifs have me horrible butterflies and I just wanted to throw up.
But I couldn't because they were walking through the door right now.
