Percy's POV
When I came downstairs to have dinner( finally!) I saw a girl on the ground. She was pleading for something. At that moment I was not thinking, but then again when am I?!
So I immediately got downstairs and yelled at those guards for who knows what, I just hated these guards for treating this girl like trash. After those stupid guards left. I didn't know what to do! The first thing I thought was to bring her outside, cause it's the only place I wanted to be at the moment( other than in the dining hall). I didn't know what to do so I just started singing. Look I know it's cliché but what else was I supposed to do. So I started singing "Wish upon a star"
I stared at this girl, her princess curls, her pale face, her soft pink lips.... I need to know her name.

Annabeth's POV
I woke up to the sound of singing, the feeling of strong arms holding me, and the fresh air of outside. If I could I would jump up immediately, but I'm too weak to do that. So I just opened my eyes to see.... the prince. Of course, I knew what he looked like from the millions of pictures Piper showed me(thanks piper). He was the one who shouted, the one who saved me. Thank the gods it wasn't Luke.I gave myself a minute to adjust to my surroundings, I was in the garden, and I was in the arms of the prince.
I studied the prince. He had jet black hair that stuck up in every direction, like a rat nest. He had the most gorgeous eyes, a sea green colour that I could get lost in for days.His voice, was not the best in the world, I obviously had a better voice than him. But, it was still good. He was singing "Wish upon a star".
Minutes later, he noticed I was staring at him, smiling. "Like what you see?". I immediately blushed. "Ok, at least we know your circulation, so what's you name"
" Annabeth"
"As in Annabeth Chase?!"
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh nothing"
I wondered if he still remembered me or was he saying I was wanted or something?! I doubt it.
"So, aren't you supposed to not talk to the Selection until tomorrow?"
" Oh, yeah, about that, can you not tell anyone you saw me? I would give you an unfair advantage."
" Well only if you make a deal with me"
"Okay, what do you propose..."
"Well, I'm not here for the crown, and I'm not in love with you, but I do still want to stay here."
"Why?!"
"I need to get away from here me for a bit. Anyway, i could help you have an insight on all the girls, I could be your friend instead of your "girlfriend".
"Ok so just friends?"
"Just friends"
