Alexa sighed as she walked into the kitchen, her grandparents smiled at her as she entered; they were concerned ever since the incident with Jennifer, the blonde had been careful about what she had eaten.

They hated how their youngest grandchild was treated and wished that there was something that she could do for her.

“I’m going to go for a jog… do you need anything while I’m out?” Alexa asked she had to drop the weight otherwise she’d never hear the end of it from her mother.

Martha would find a way to blame Alexa for ruining her sister’s wedding if her dress didn’t fit and it wasn’t something that Alexa wanted on her shoulders.

“Just some bread and milk Alexa,” Elizabeth said making the blonde smile at her before she slipped on her navy chunky canvas lace up pumps; she was wearing a pink vest top and navy jogging bottoms.

Alexa nodded before she slipped out of the house, she quickly made her way down the street keeping it at a steady pace.

Elizabeth turned and looked at her husband, she hated her daughter-in-law and had no idea how her son was till with her; Martha was nothing but trouble and she was going to make Alexa very ill if she continued.

“I told you… that woman will kill what’s left of that poor girl,” Elizabeth said making her husband sigh as he set down his newspaper.

Steven looked at his wife, they had always been concerned that Martha would push Alexa to far one day and that it would end badly; it was worrying that she was being forced to diet now when she wasn’t a very big girl.

“We’ll keep an eye on her while she’s here,” Steven said but his wife frowned, it was clear that they were already losing their youngest to peer-pressure from her mother and sister.

Stopping at the local shop, Alexa stretched as she warmed down from her run; she looked up at the cloudy Manchester sky and grumbled.

Alexa had lived in Seattle most of her life, so the weather wasn’t new to her but as of September, she would be living in California with some of her close friends.

Alexa sighed and stepped into the cold shop, she ignored the excited chatter of a couple of young women around her as she moved to ensure that she got bread and milk for her grandmother.

Picking up a cold sports drink from the fridge, Alexa’s hearing perked at the sound of two men talking in Portuguese; which struck her as odd since she didn't know that there was any Portuguese living in the area.

Alexa had learnt the language when she was a child with her father being a language teacher; he had ensured that his children were educated in as many languages as possible so they would have a head start in life.

Alexa made her way to the cash register where the owner of the shop smiled at her, they could both hear the women gushing as the owner packed Alexa’s stuff into a bag and she paid for it.

“Oh my God! I can’t believe it’s him,” one of the women gushed making Alexa glanced at the one, they were talking about; she had to admit he was good looking.

He was wearing a leather jacket and was talking to a man that appeared to be his brother, Alexa thanked the owner before she left the shop; honestly she felt sorry for him having to listen to the women cooing at the good looking Portuguese.

Alexa took a sip of her drink, as she looked up at the sky; it could rain any moment and she was at least twenty minutes from her grandmother’s house.

As she stretched her legs, her green eyes caught on the black BMW M6, which was parked not far from where she stood, she didn’t hesitate to guess that it belonged to Mr. Good-Looking.
