Alexa lay in her bed trying to sleep however she found it impossible knowing that Cristiano wasn’t next to her or down the corridor; she was wearing a blue check woven nightshirt as she tossed and turned.
It had been two days since she had returned to Seattle for Christmas and Alexa hadn’t been able to forget what her sister had said to her; she knew that she needed to make her decision.
Alexa sighed as she tried to get comfortable, Jennifer’s words rang in her ears; she wanted nothing more than to call Cristiano but it didn’t seem right.
Alexa stared at the ceiling of her room, wondering what the hell she was doing here; she quickly sat up and climbed out of bed.
Alexa didn’t waste time as she pulled on her navy printed gypsy top and her dark wash skinny jeans; she had been horrible to Cristiano and she needed to make things right.
Alexa reached for her phone, dialling a number that she didn’t think she would need and she waited patiently while she pulled on her grey lace up pumps.
“Hello… I would like a ticket for the earliest flight to Faro, Portugal?” Alexa said moving to repack her suitcase, she hadn’t done much since she had arrived since she had been moping without Cristiano and she knew what she had to do.
Alexa listened to the person on the other end of her phone looking for flights before they spoke again; she hoped that she would be able to fly out that day since it was Christmas Eve and she needed to get to Cristiano.
“That’s in three hours and will be $2145,” the person said making Alexa nod as she fished out her bank card; she started to give her card details hoping that Cristiano had left some money in her account.
Alexa sighed in relief as the flight was confirmed under her name and that she had paid for the flight in full; she was told that she could pick up her ticket when she arrived at the airport.

Finishing packing Alexa stepped out of her room only to bump into her siblings, she blinked surprised since she hadn’t realised that anyone else was awake.
Jennifer smiled proudly that her sister had come to her senses, she had been worried that Alexa was going to see sense before Christmas.
David gave Alexa a hug while Ryan collected her suitcase from her, they were going to miss their sister but they wanted her to be happy; something she clearly wasn’t without Cristiano.
“Be happy Lexi,” Jennifer said as she stepped forward and hugged his sister, she was pleased that her sister was finally seeing sense.
Alexa nodded her head as she stepped back, she smiled a little while Ryan headed downstairs to get the car ready; they were going to have to hurry if they wanted to catch her flight.
“Don’t forget to call us,” David said, he would still hurt Cristiano if anything happened to Alexa; she was his twin and he wanted the best for her and he was sure that she deserved it.
Alexa nodded her head as they walked downstairs, she wasn’t sure what would happen when she reached Portugal but she was going to see if there was a future for her.
Cristiano was what she wanted and Alexa was determined to make things right, she’d been horrid to him and he deserved so much better; he had just found out that the woman that drugged him was going to have his baby.
It wasn’t what Cristiano had wanted but he was going to step up and Alexa was so proud of him for doing so and if he let her then she would support him.
Jennifer crossed her arms as she watched Alexa hurry to the car, she really hoped that things would work out for them; Cristiano was the best thing that had ever happened to Alexa and she would be stupid to let him go.
David and Jennifer watched as the car left their home, they were hopeful that things would work out and glad that Martha hadn’t gotten her claws into Alexa while she was making her decision.
Ryan peeked at his little sister as they drove towards the airport, so that she could make her flight; he had heard from Jennifer what had happened and he was worried for Alexa.
It wasn’t going to be an easy decision for her to go back to Cristiano, there was a large chance that she would still be hurt when the baby was born.
Heather might not be in the picture right now but she was going to be when the baby was born; it was a bond that Cristiano would share with her for the rest of his life.
“Promise me you’ll be careful,” Ryan said as he speed towards the airport, he didn’t want Alexa getting her heart broken and he had secretly hoped that she wouldn’t go back to the footballer.
Ryan just wanted his baby sister safe and no matter what happened he was always going to be there for her; she was special and didn’t need any more drama in her life.
“I will,” Alexa promised smiling at her brother, she knew he meant well and she didn’t blame him; she had done a lot of thinking and she couldn’t let this go without a fight.

“What will you do when you get to Portugal?” Ryan asked unloading her suitcase outside of the airport, it was quiet and a chill wind blew in the air.
Alexa crossed her arms, she wished she’d remembered to put her coat on before she left; she was just glad she wouldn’t be outside for long.
“I haven’t thought that far yet,” Alexa admitted shifting on her feet, her toes were going numb and she wanted to get inside as quickly as possible; she still had to pick her ticket up and check in for her flight.
Ryan chuckled nodding his head, he had a feeling that she hadn’t and he would bet that no one on the other side was even expecting her to come back.
Cristiano was bound to be a mess without Alexa and Ryan was sure that one of his siblings would be happy to pick her up; it was something that would have to do.
“I’ll call one of Cristiano’s siblings for you… so they can pick you up when you arrive,” Ryan told Alexa, he couldn’t resist walking her into the airport; he wanted to make sure that she didn’t have any problems with getting her ticket and checking in.
Ryan was patient as she did both, he watched silently as he counted the moments until his sister left; he was still worried for her but she was an adult now and had to make her own mistakes.
Alexa looked at the security that she had yet to pass through, Ryan hugged her and smiled as he gave her a squeeze; she hoped that she still had a relationship to save when she reached Portugal.
“Go and be happy,” Ryan said softly as he looked at the security, Alexa needed to get going or she would miss her flight; she couldn’t risk waiting for another one to come along.
Alexa took a deep breath stepping back from her brother, she offered him a small smile; she collected her brown cross body bag before she walked away.
Alexa didn’t look back as she headed for the security check point, she chewed on her lip wondering what would happen when she reached Portugal.
Cristiano had every right to turn her away after how she had treated him, he didn’t need more drama after what she had done and she hadn’t even called to let him know that she was okay. Alexa just hoped that her flight was quick, she needed to make things right again.
