Cookies- Chapter 8

\Apple's POV/

These last 6 months have been good; I've still got my same 4 great friends, and I do have a potential boyfriend!

My weeks are normally the same, spend time helping out at the bakery and every Saturday spend time with Jack doing whatever.

The Ender Dragon is still attacking villages and City's looking for the Saphire Stone but he hasn't found it. No one knows where he's going to attack next so we'll have to wait and see.

I walked down the street to come across the familiar smell of fresh bread coming from the bakery I was heading to.

I walked in and the bell above the door rattled alerting my boss someone had come in.

The bakery had tables in it for people to sit in with a cupcake, straight ahead of the entrance door was the counter with cakes on display and behind the counter were shelfs of bread and other baked goods.

We were usually busy however today seemed quite and not much happening, it's Friday so I was expecting it to be busy but if it's not hopefully i can get the day off.

"Hello!?" I call. I hop over the counter and look in the kitchen to see my boss baking a cake.

"Oh hello Apple, Yeah I have to deliver this to one of the outline villages so the shops closed for today." He explained pulling the cake out of the oven and placing it on a table ready to be decorated.

"Does that mean I have the day off?" I asked.

"yes, but I will expect to see you on Sunday Morning!" He smiled as I hopped back over the counter. I knew exactly where I was going!

After a short 5 minute walk I was at the park where my 4 best friend sat talking.

I open the gate and slid in not making much noise, I see my target. I slowly creep up behind Rhys and the others saw me but pretended I wasn't there. 3... 2... I counted in my head 1! At one I jumped on Rhys and yelled, he screamed from the shock and the others giggled and laughed. I let go of Rhy and laughed. He just stood there confused then gave us a embarrassed laugh. After we stopped we all went to our tree which was near the park, we all climbed it and sat there talking.

"So what is everyone doing on the weekend?" John said whilst eating an Apple from the tree.

"Well I have to help my mum clean the house" Mat confessed climbing higher up the tree.

"I was wondering if you all wanted to come camping this weekend" Jazz smiled sitting comfortably on the tree.

"Sorry I can't I'm with Jack on Saturday and on Sunday I have to help out in the bakery" I shrugged.

"I'll come!" Rhys chirped, hanging upside down from a branch.

"Me too" John Agreed, with his mouth full from the Apple.

"As I said I'm busy with my mum" Mat sighed from a higher branch he had climbed up to.

"Ah! It's fine! We can always do it again! Right?" Jazz grinned and we all nodded with a smile. She grinned in reply.

"Welp it was nice seeing all of you but I think it's time I go and get ready for this camping trip!" Jazz jumped out of the tree and waved to us, then walked to her house.

"We should go too" John said hoping out of the tree.

"Awww fine!" Rhys whined jumping down. The 2 boys walked of chatting to each other.

"Now there were two" Mat broke the silence smiling.

"Yeah what do we do now?" I wondered looking at the trees gently blowing in the breeze.
