After about three minutes we got up to the podium. An old man, who I had not noticed before began to speak. "Hello, first year students, I am Grand Master Ganhold." Grand Master Ganhold held up his hands to settle everyone down. "Those who have yet to be tested will wait for your name to be called and my Sphinx will determine if you have magic, what that magic is and if you are powerful enough to harness Thirío." He continued and began to call names.
Nick and I were last because we arrived last. Nick was before me. He walked up to the Sphinx and waited. The Sphinx seemed impressed, it called out that Nick possessed one of the three major magics. "This one Possesses the Magic of Life!" It said. "As well as a harnessing limit of fifteen!" Everyone looked surprised. Life was one of the three advanced magics known to man and meant that Nick could revive the recently dead and control anything he brings back depending on its level of intelligence. "Tell me, Nickolas, what is your surname?" Asked Grand Master Ganhold. "Makeonsenn, s-sir." Nick said, still shocked to learn this. "I see, well, Apprentice Nickolas Makeonsenn of Life, please take a seat." Said Grand Master Ganhold. Then he called me up, I walked up to the Sphinx and waited. "This one," the beast said, "possesses the magic of Fire and has a harnessing limit of twenty!" Most people were very surprised to hear this because of the rarity of that level.<<<<<<<>>>>>>>
