Chapter 3

I picked up my dad from the hospital. He still looked weak but tried not to show it. We said nothing to eachother the whole way home. I dont know why it was so awkward, we usually have alot to talk about. Once we got homw i told him that i went grocery shoppig.

"Did you get me my oatmeal?" he asked

I laughed "Of course." Then I started thinking about Niall again. I smiled

"What you smiling about?"

"Nothing." I hesitated " I'm just glad that your ok."

"I'm glad im ok too." he chuckled and started making his oatmeal. I rolled my eyes. He always made himself laugh which made my laugh.

"School starts Monday. You ready?"

"Ready as i'll ever be. Liam and I have almost every class together."

"Thats good. But have you ever concidered getting some girlfriends? Like whats his name Louis' girlfriend Eleanor. She seems like a lovely girl."

"Whatever.." I knew he was right. All my friend are guys, well the two friends i have. I've talked to Eleanor before but only when she's around Louis.

My cell vibrated. It was Liam

Liam: You going to Perrie's party tonight?

I almost forgot about that. At the beginning of every year a different popular girl, in this case its Perrie, has a big bash to kick off the beggining of the year inviting everyone in the grade.

Me: Idk Li, my dad just got home from the hospital and all.

"Whose that?" asked my Dad

"Liam" I answered

"What you talking about?" Sometimes he could get nosy. But i dont mind. I know he's just protecting me.

"Nothing really just asking me somthing."

"Oh right today's that girls party yeah?"

"Yeah, but i dont think im going to go becuase i have to take care of you and-" he cut me off.

"Don't worry about me go have fun, its your senior year! I dont want me or anything else getting in the way."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, Yeah go, mingle, do drugs, drink alcohol, have sex, or whatever you kids do for fun these days."

Dad!" I rolled my eyes but couldn't help but smile. My dad is the most old school man you will ever meet. 

My phone went off.

Liam: Common! Its Saturday night and i havent seen you this whole summer! Im not going without you! >:)

I looked up at my Dad " Go on and get your party on! Dont mind me" he said with a smile.

Me: Ok im in :)

Liam:Sweeet pick you up in an hour! xx

Me: Will do x

I closed my phone. Wait, the whole grade is going to be there. That means Niall. I smiled. I needed to get dressed. I was about to go upstairs when my dad stopped me.

"Yeah, dont do drugs, dont drink, and dont have sex."

I giggled. "Thanks Dad." I kissed him on the cheek and headed upstairs. I checked the clock. Ok i have 45 minutes til Liam picks me up, what to wear..
