Love May Be Blind (1D Fanfic)

Chapter 10

I woke up to Sammy licking my face. His paw looked like it was getting better but after school i have to take him to the vet. I hopped out of bed and opened my curtains revealing a view of my roof along with the front yard. I opened my window to see how the weather was. It felt warm and it was sunny unlike every other day which was cloudy, rainy, or humid. I decided to wear a shorts. I put on my red shorts with my black and white printed crop top and some nice Sperry's. I also put on some silver bangles. I decided to straighten my hair. When i was done with that I grabbed my usual school bag and went downstairs.

The whole time i was getting ready Sammy was laying on my bed watching me. Then he followed me down the stairs. I love this dog.  

I got downstairs and went into the kitchen. I looked out the window and i saw my dad gathering the cows to be milked. I always worried about him milking them by himself. He could collapse at anytime and i wouldn't know. But he would tell me, 'You cant let things get in the way of living your life. If you are able to do something do it.' Never reassured me fully but it did a little. I turned to Sammy who was at my side.

"You want to help Daddy milk the cows?" he responded with wagging his tail. So i opened the door for him and he ran out to my dad. He ran good for a dog with a hurt paw. 

I was eating cereal when i heard a car horn from outside. I ran outside to see Louis in his new car with Eleanor in the passenger seat. It was a silver Porsche. His parents are very wealthy so he always got new things.

"Nice car!" I yelled over the engine.

"Thanks Ro! I'm driving you to school today no buts!" He shouted. 

I rolled my eyes and ran inside to get my bag. I hopped into the back seat of the car nervously. Louis' a great driver and all he just  a wild one. We thankfully got to school in one piece but then i spotted Liam.

"LIAM!" I yelled across the parking lot.

I jumped out of the car and ran to him to give him a big hug. "I'm sorry! I'm so so so sorry!" i said in his ear. 

He pulled away but still keeping me in his warm, muscular arms. "For what?" he asked.

"For everything for being a bad friend and for you mom and just everything that i did wrong."

"Babe, you did nothing wrong and my mom's going to be fine. I just couldn't face the fact that my mom has cancer."

"I'm sorry, but just remember." Louis and Eleanor walk over next to me hand in hand. "We're here for you" I put my elbow in Louis' shoulder.

"Of course" said Louis. After a awkward pause he continued. "On a brighter note guess what! I got a new car!"

"Again? Didn't you get one when you got your licence  a couple of months ago?" we all laughed and started walking towards the school without Louis.

"That car was so old!" he said as he ran after us. 

_Niall's POV_

*After School*

This whole day I couldn't stop thinking about Rosie and the kiss. We never got a chance to talk about it because she was distracted by Liam's situation. We've only known each other for a couple of days but i feel like i've known her my whole life. My thoughts were interrupted.

"Hey Niall!" called someone from behind me.

I spun around " Oh hey Zayn" i said.

"Here" he hands me a jacket. "Its a football team jacket. We wear it to school when we have games along with a nice collared shirt and tie."

"Thanks" 

"No problem and call me Z." He said as he backed away from me. "The whole team does." he gave me a smile and spun around and bumped into Louis.

"Watch where your going" he said.

"Shut it Tomlinson." Zayn snapped back and walked away bumped his shoulder with Louis'. 

"Hey Lou where you off too?" I asked and giggled a little at my rhyme.

" Sorry can't talk, I have to pick up my little sister Lottie from school because my parents are busy." he answered.

"Okay see.." Before i could finish my sentence he was gone then my vision was blocked.

"Guess who?" said the voice. 

"Umm is it someone famous?" I asked sarcastically. 

I regained my vision and turned around to see Rosie. "Oh its just you."

"Sorry to disappoint you" she giggled.

"I'm kidding your so much better than a famous person."

She blushed. "So have you seen Louis? He's my ride."

"Oh yeah he left already."

"Shit" she said.

"I can give you a ride if you want." She nodded.

We ran to my car because it was raining. So much for the nice weather this morning.

"New car?" she asked

"Yeah my parents felt bad about the whole moving thing so they got me it." I replied while opening the passenger side door for her.

She thanked me then got in. I shut the door quickly so the car wouldn't get soaked and then hopped into the drivers seat. "So you didn't want to move here?" She asked.

I started the engine. " No, I liked my old school." Disappointment spread across her face. "But I think i like it here better." I added taking her hand. She smiled.

 On the way to her house we talk about everything that came to mind. Talking to her, I feel like could be honest and really open to her. She's different from the other girls. They only cared about appearances and sex. I want to ask her out but we've only known each other for a couple of days and don't want to ruin our friendship.

"Do you hear that?" she asked.

"No." I answered

"Shhh" 

Suddenly a large bang came from the car and it stopped short along with the engine turning off.

"Niall" she said sounding scared. She squeezed my arm tightly.

"It's ok" I reassured her. I tried turning the engine back on. No luck.
