Y/N and her dad arrive at the beach, they walk down and place their towels on the sand. Y/N decides to sunbathe whilst her dad goes and gets some drinks from a bar. After a little while Y/N hears her phone go off. She looks at her phone to see Liam is calling
- Phone Call -
Liam: hey Y/N, you doing ok?
Y/N: yeah I'm doing great? What about you?
Liam: awesome, me, Shelby and Parker are playing Pokemon go. We were going to see if you wanted to join, but we figured you would want to rest... you arm
Y/N: well that's completely fine, I'm just at the beach with-
Liam: wait you're at the beach?! That's where we are!
Y/N: really... well I guess that's not that much of a coincidence. You did say you lived practically next door to it
Liam: hey I'll come meet you, you're on the beach right?
Y/N: umm yeah but I-
Liam: I'll see you soon!
Liam hangs up on the phone
Y/N: Liam I'm with my- he's gone...
Dad: who was that?
Y/N: umm that was-
Liam sees Y/N from a distance, Shelby and Parker are by his side
Liam: hey Y/N!
Y/N: oh god
Liam walks closer and notices Y/N's Dad
Shelby: hey Y/N, who is this?
Y/N: umm hey guys, this is my dad
Dad: hi, Y/N, are these your friends?
Y/N: yeah, they've been helping me out... with my injury and other stuff
Dad: oh thank you so much, I'm glad to hear my girl has friends to help her out here
Parker: anytime! It's been mostly Liam that's been helping her out. If it wasn't for him, Y/N wouldn't be-
Y/N: able to cope on my own!
Y/N gives a state to her friends, as if to say that her dad doesn't know what really happened. They all managed to get the message
Dad: well thank Liam, that means a lot
Liam: it's really no problem...
Liam POV
What am I supposed to say?! I didn't think I would be meeting Y/N's Dad so soon, especially since he lives in England too... he must have surprised her... I don't blame Y/N for not telling him about the shooting. She doesn't want to put pressure on him, plus who knows how he'll respond
Liam: well you two probably want some father daughter time, we will leave you be
Dad: don't be ridiculous! Me and Y/N have got till Saturday to have some time together. Join us. I'll even get everyone drinks.
Shelby: aww that's really kind of you sir
Dad: nah it's not problem, also call me D/N (dads name)
Shelby: ok D/N
Dad: Liam, why don't you give me a hand with the drinks. If that's ok that is
Liam: umm sure, no problem
D/N takes Parker, Shelby's orders as well as Liams. Then D/N and Liam head to the bar.
Dad: soo, how long have you and Y/N been dating?
Liam: she told you?!
Dad: haha nope, I just can tell by the way you both look at each other. I am her dad, I know these things
Liam: umm well I un
Dad: you don't have to be nervous, I'm glad she's dating
Liam: why's that?
Dad: she probably hasn't told you this, but you should know that Y/N had never dated
Liam: she hasn't? How come?
Dad: ... did she tell you that she moved here to start fresh?
Liam: um yeah?
Dad: well the reason is that she was quite depressed in England. Didn't have the best relationship with her mum, and didn't have many friends or people who liked her as a person. She didn't date because she felt as though she would let her down... so she just stayed away
Liam: I-I didn't know...
Dad: yeah... but, if she is willing to date you... she must really care about you. She even told me that she would never date someone unless she 100% trusted them
Liam: ... she did?...
Dad: me and Y/N have always had a really close bond... but I can tell that yours is stronger
Liam: ...we've only just started dating
Dad: it doesn't matter how long you've dating, I can tell that you both are for one another
Liam: ...more then anything (looks in Y/N's direction)
Dad: ...you love her don't you?
Liam: what?! Yeah but I-
Dad: haha you haven't told her have you?
Liam: N-No...
Dad: well you don't have to tell her now, but I bet she feels the same way. Yes you've only started dating... but why wait to confess feelings if they're mutual and true
Liam: ... you're right... thank you sir.., I mean D/N
Dad: haha no problem
Liam: I can see why she cares for you so much
Dad: you too Liam...
The bartender gives them their drinks then they headed back to Y/N, Shelby and Parker. When they arrive, they sit on the towel with the rest and gives them their drinks and start chatting
