"Raven are you ready?" Zaphara called from outside my bedroom.
"Give me one more minute!" I called. I was trying to put on my left shoes. I didn't want to wrinkle my dress by sitting down on the bed, so I have been trying to put my shoe on standing up.
"Raven, we need time to get to the wedding. Lucifer is waiting for you at the altar. If I have to listen to him ask me if you still want to get married, I might take the Dagger and kill him."
I rolled my eyes, as I finally got my shoe on and strapped. I opened the door, slightly to find Zaphara leaning against the hallway wall, talking on her phone.
"As soon as she gets her shoes on, we will be going," she said into the phone. "No, I didn't do anything. She wanted to do everything herself. The hair, the dress, and the makeup. She refused to have me do anything. Her door has been locked every since you are left. She is so independent. I will tell you that Lucifer could not have chosen a better partner."
I smiled, at her response. I was independent and just because I'm getting married in less than an hour, does not mean that I am going to give up my independence.
The reason I would not let Zaphara do my makeup was that this is my big day. I'm the one who is getting married to a guy that I love. When I walk down the aisle I want him to see the real me, not my super made-up face and perfect hair.
Don't get me wrong, Zaphara is an amazing beautician but I want this day to be about me, not her.
My makeup was very simple. All I had on was mascara and a bit of lipstick. My hair, I curled, twisting a large portion of my hair into a bun. The rest, I let hang down.
My dress wasn't too fancy, but it wasn't too simple either. Even though Miss Lillie made it for me, I helped with the finishing touches. The top of the dress was very plain, with no straps. Elastic ran around my waist, which made the dress hug my hips. Below the waist, the dress flared out, and it stopped right at my ankles. As I said, the dress was very simple.
The thing I liked the most about the dress was the finishing touch, I had Miss Lillie add. Like my ball dress, I wanted color in my dress. So, from the waist down, I had her add grey to the dress, which she did. I wanted grey because it represented the fact that I am neither good or evil. Like me, the world is in a constant battle between the two, like everyone else. In a world where both exist, I believe that both can coexist, peacefully.
"I'm ready," I said, opening the door all the way. Zaphara turned to me and gasp.
"Hey, baby? We're ready. I'll see you in a bit," she told Miss Lillie and then hung up. "You look amazing!"
I smiled at her and walked past her. "I know," I said as I headed to Lucifer's study. The portal was in his study.
Zpahara walked next to me and activated the portal. "Ready?" she asked me.
I nodded. "It's time for me to get married."

As soon as we reached Earth, I took a deep breath. It has been about a month since I have had any fresh air. I really have missed being on Earth.
We had to walk about half a mile to get to the ceremony. As soon as we neared the field, I chose to get married at, Zaphara called her wife and told her to start the music.
"Okay, this is where I leave you," Zaphara gave me a hug, and kissed my cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too. Thank you so much for everything you have done," I said, as I hugged her back. I watched as she walked away.
