"If one could see into what lies ahead. What would be the result? A new future of course, though is it new? Or it destined. A measly goal to change it is slim, even if you were to possess an unprecedented power of will in order to change it. It takes more than that. It takes the eye of the beholder, to know what to do." Yawning would be heard after someone's philosophy, the speaker turned to their tiresome companion.
"Future this, future that. What's it matter? You can't change the inevitable..." They spoke the words of a realist. Though this did not change the philosophical speaker, lifting their palm into the rain's droplets and Beholding it before their ally.
"That is what the eye of the beholder is for, to see what there is. The future is within their grasp. If one is given a choice and is given benefits and flaws...Multiple paths await them, They are known as the future's holder. Just like her..." Wisdom did, in fact, come forth from their tongue. It still made the realist question their perspective.
"I see no future."
[Busy Night within a City]
"You sure your people wouldn't mind you coming here? Matsuri."
"If they were able to take care of themselves alone. Then I don't see what they have to worry about. I'll be just fine." Replied Matsuri as she pulled down her teal hoodie resembling that of a Pancho, her eyes were similar to that of hero's only blending into her hoodie as well. A bang flowed down revealing her wavey dirty blonde hair. "This is Genosha? Did the New Monarchy overrule this place?" Asked Matsuri.
"Yeah. The Fourth Wing had already taken over most of the country by now. With the help of the Blade Union." This alarmed Matsuri in the most concerning way possible.
"Just like that...How?" The silence between the two made it even more worrisome. "Hiori!"
"Spirit Energy." Said Hiori. As confusing as it sounded to her, she tried to make sense of the reason.
"They've labeled it Ether. A divine source of energy they call it." Stated Hiori, he turned to her to hear her next question.
"Ether? B-but. Where the hell are they even getting this stuff?" Asked Matsuri as she walked up to him.
"That's what I've been trying to figure it out. We came here to go speak with a former operative of the Blade Union. Yuki is actually quite aquatinted with him." Replied Hiori, he signaled him to come along down the alleyway.
"You don't ever call him 'dad', do you?" She did not recieve an answer, he instead kept walking foward. Matsuri shook her head in distastefulness in not only towards the Monarchy, but Hiori.
"Did you catch that?" Asked one of the officers. They nodded and went into hot pursuit for the two. While Hiori and Matsuri were walking past the walls stealthily, Matsuri felt a presence.
"Uhh- Hiori. I think someone following us..." Whispered Matsuri, she tried speed walking away from the officers.
"Shit. Winged Officers, come on!" Shouted Hiori as he yanked her wrist forcing her to run.
"HEY! HIORI!" Screamed Matsuri in shock. The two ran into the street filled with civilians, the officers blew their whistles alerting the rest. The citizens cleared the street and more officers crowded them. Aiming their Swords and Rifles at them.
