One week had passed since the tragic party and nobody remembered a thing, including the secrets revealed about Veronica and her family, the beer was simply too much. She was still the queen of the school, sharing her throne with Cheryl whenever the redhead felt like it, and she was still respect but, for the two star crossed lovers, the story was different. Thistle house has changed everything. Veronica no longer responded to the tiny pieces of paper that Archie insisted on leaving for her, just like it was before. I miss you - A

I want you, even if it is only in secret. I love you -A
She just wanted to run to him and kiss him until both of their lips were numb, to say that she loved him back, gosh, that she loved him more than she loved herself. But she knew it had to stop. She had to protect him but he just wanted to protect her. He often asked himself how thing were with her parents, when they were together in secret before the party she used to tell him everything, how her dad threatened her and how she would take some money out of the security box every week, so that if something would happen she had the necessary to escape from that life, he knew that that was what she wanted to do, to escape. He also noticed during the week that, during the vixens practice, that we would sometimes sneak out of football just to watch her, some purple spots would start showing around her left eye, was her father being violent to her? He just wanted to ask her all this questions but he didn't know how they stood and, for Veronica, they didn't even stood anywhere, it had to be like that, even if it caused an excruciating on both. He didn't know she was singing, he presumed she wasn't going to even attend the dance as he had talked to all of his teammates and everyone of their requests to Veronica had been turned down. The gingerhead decided to attend with Betty as prom or any kind of dance wasn't really Jughead's thing, the two best friends walked into the beautiful decorated gym and the only things on his mind was how he wished that Veronica was the one on his arm, in front of everyone, how stunning she would have looked beneath those blueish sparkly lights, how stunning she always looked. "Cmon Arch lets dance, I see Toni and Reggie over there" the boy was brought out of his transe by the blonde girl pulling him into her arms and then balancing her hips into the song, he remembered how Veronica swayed her hips, dancing around him as he played his guitar on his dads garage, her beautiful body only covered by her underwear and his oversized shirt, he smiled at the memories. Betty, the opposite, was dressed in some white flats and a modest pink dress, her hair down, she look presentable in Archie's eyes (Betty's dress:
