38. Closure

Katy's P.O.V

Welp, what do you know? The whole group came along with us girls to get all the stuff we need. Grocery shopping was so hard! Keep in mind there were about nine teenagers in this huge grocery store. I had them go off into pairs and assigned them to go get specific things. Daniel and I were in the cake mix isle. While I was looking at the different cakes and frosting I felt Daniel looming over me. "What are you looking at Daniel?" He bent closer and said "I'm looking at the love of my life." I smiled and turned around. "Saying cheesy things like that will make a girl fall in love with you Freeman." "Well I hope its working for you Mi amor." He said with a cheeky smile. I laughed and gave him a small peck on the lips. "Come on we need to get a lot of cake mixes so we can make a huge cake and some cupcakes." "Hey lovebirds we got all the stuff we need. Let's get a move on we need to get the decorations and something nice to wear." Joel said. I turned my head and saw that each of the pairs came back with two carts filled all the way to the top. Oh thank God that we brought two expeditions.

Many hours later we finally made it home. It's about 9:30 at night. We brought all the things inside and put everything away. I am satisfied with all the stuff we managed to get. Especially the dresses the girls and I got. Tomorrow is going to be a blast! We all walked up to our rooms to start getting ready for bed. While walking to my room I saw my door cracked open. I walked to it cautiously and pushed it open. I saw my parents and brother sitting on the bed staring at me. "Mija please close the door." I slowly closed the door behind me and walked to the foot of the bed. "What is going on?" My dad sighed then looked at me. Oh no here it comes. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU DISOBEY ME? "Well I was not going t--" I TOLD YOU NOT TO GET INVOLVED. "But da-" BUT APPARENTLY IT WENT THROUGH ONE EAR AND OUT THE OTHER. GOSH DAMMIT KATALINA. YOU AR --"DAD!! WILL YOU LET ME SPEAK!" I rudely interrupted. The room went quiet all we can hear were the deep breaths we were both taking. I sighed. "Papi, I love you so much but you have to learn how to control your emotions. The reason why I got involved is because YOU taught me that family never gets abandoned. We all have to help each other no matter what. So you can yell at me all you want but it will not make me regret what I did. I am happy he is in our lives now. So go ahead ground me I do not care because it will not change who I am." I finished me little rant with my head up and tears running down my face. They all stood up and walked towards me and we all hugged each other. I can hear all of them crying. "Ay mija thank you so much for being in our lives. You will make this world a better place." My dad said quietly. We all let go and looked at each other and smiled. "I love you guys."

Tomorrow is going to be awesome.
