Katy's P.O.V
"Why doesn't she remember me?" Terrance yelled. Daniel stayed quiet. "Ok, ok let's all calm down and go home." "Yes, let's do that." Terrance said walking to the car with Christi. "Daniel, what aren't you telling me?" I say as we get into the car. "I will explain everything when we go home Katy I promise." I nodded then felt a hand on my shoulder I knew it was Jami's. I sighed.
We finally arrived at home. I ran out the car and went to my parents that were already standing outside the lawn with everyone else." Mom, Dad, Kevin attacked us and we fought and we found out how our powers work and this guy comes out of nowhere and tells me I'm his second cousin!" I wheezed out. "And Daniel asked me out and I said yes!" I finished. My mom jumped up and down and said "Awwwww mija I am so happy for you!" "He what?!" Terrance and my dad yelled. "No no no no. Katy is supposed to marry me! That's what my parents have been telling me my whole life! They said it is destined!" I looked at him like if he grew two heads.
"No she isn't. She is mine. I know because, we have the connection." Daniel said. "I'm really confused?" Joel said." Okay, okay lets go inside and talk about it." My dad replied.
Katy's P.O.V
We walked inside and my dad started from the beginning. "Okay, when my mom was younger she found out that she was a Gala when she was nine. A Gala is like a witch/warlock mixed with a priestess. Now keep in mind this was a long time ago. Back then they believed in arranged marriages and they loved to keep their blood line going. Either distance cousins or powerful families obviously. So they forced your grandma to marry your grandpa. When your grandma found out she was a Gala she started dreaming about this secret languages
and dialects. So she wrote all those things in a book. Then she had me a few years after. When I was seven I found out that I was a Gala too. At that time dad had died of unknown causes and mom finally finished the book. She would never let me touch the book because she said it was to powerful." My dad sighed and then continued. "After dads death my mom had us move around a lot. I never knew why.""Until one day when I was twelve my mom ran upstairs screaming telling me to hide under my bed she gave me the book and told me to open it only when everything dies down. And she pushed my bed and opened a little door that was on the floor and pushed me inside. I asked her what was wrong and she said the bad people are coming. She kissed my forehead and closed the door. I heard a voices yelling at my mom downstairs demanding for the book. She told him she didn't have anything, then the house started rumbling and I heard screams and saw a blue light. I waited a few minutes then I got out of the little passage and ran downstairs with the book in hand. I saw my mom dead with bodies around her. She killed herself protecting me and the book."
My dad sighed again then continued. "I opened the book and it had a address. I went to it and knocked on the door, then the most beautiful girl came out." My dad looked up and smiled at my mom."And the rest is history." "But what does that have to do with us?" I said. "Your mom and I met all these people and became friends when we found out we were all Galas. And yes, Terrance is your 2nd cousin but you do not have to marry him. Nobody has done that for centuries. It's your choice."
"Where is the book now? " I said. "It's in Italy and we have to get it back. Since its time to fight." "Why is it over there?" "I thought I could of hide it forever but now we have to get that book back." He said. "Do you even know where -?" "Wait, that means that we are going to Italy? For our spring break." Jami asked excitedly cut me off. All of our parents nodded. And then my dad said. "Pack your bags kids we leave to Italy in a few hours."
