1 month later..

Jakira

Life has been hard honestly..

Me and Zae haven't talked to each other since the night at that hospital.

I'm not even gonna sweat it no more because it's ridiculous how people function.

Ever since Sammy got out that coma she's been around him 24/7.

They even brought a little apartment together.

I don't care...

I was born by myself... well by a minute but still... I was born by myself so imma leave this world by myself..

I haven't seen Lucas any other time other then when we at school and that's about it.. but this is our last month of school..

If we don't start making time for each other any other time I think it's just best if we separate...

I just don't know right now.

Walking into the house the instant lap of alcohol hit my face

Closing the door slowly I stood there for a minute then came around the corner was my foster father...

He had red eyes and looked as if he hadn't slept in days.

He looked me up and down sizing me up

I got that instant feeling of worry in my stomach

" Where you been? " he asked

" I-I..... I was at the library " I said

He sucked his teeth

" Alright " he said

He turned around to walk off and I slowly was letting my guard down

He turned back around quickly and threw the empty bottle of Hennessy right at the wall next to me as the glass shattered and some shards bounced off the wall piercing into my skin

As the bottle fell it knocked over the photo with my parents, herb, me and Zae.

" Now clean that shit up! " he yelled at me

I jumped from his voice

" I'm not the one who threw the bottle.... why should I clean it up? " I asked

He didn't say anything

" I'll show you better then I can tell you " he said while turning around and walking towards me with nothing but pure lust and anger in his eyes

2 hours later

Lézae

I rung the doorbell

Why are they taking so damn long to answer?

Their cars are literally outside.

As I was about to ring it again the door creaked open and our foster mother was standing in between the door and the frame
