I'll Protect You

I opened the door some and stood in the doorway. His friends were all laying across the floor and upside down and Hunter was playing his video game. Hunter paused the game and all attention was on me. Hunter gave me a look and I just pushed it off. 

"Everybody is going to the pool so I wanted to let y'all knew and see if you guys were coming." I said. Hunter nodded his head.

"We will be out in a second but um Y/N can I talk to you?" Hunter asked. I nodded and stepped back allowing him to leave. He closed the door behind him making sure nobody would hear him. 

"WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?!?" Hunter whispered yelled. I looked down at my bathing suit and found no mistakes in it. I wore this one a lot. 

"What this is my favorite bathing suit?" I said. Hunter shook his head. 

"Just let me know if somebody gives you a weird look k?" he asked but it sounded more like a demand. I nodded and walked outside. I was putting up towels in the outside rack when I heard the sliding door open I knew it was Hunter and his friends. I stood up and walked over to a pole and leaned against it watching my best friends play with our school friends. I laughed a little but I was caught off guard when I pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist and suddenly I was off the floor and in the air. 

"Put me down!" I said. Hunter spun me around and I wrapped my legs around his torso. He smiled and shook his head no. I started hitting his chest but it didn't slow him down at all.

"Hunt no please I.." I began to say but I was cut off. Hunter threw me into the pool and I dragged him with me. I popped out of the water and had a angry look on my face. Hunter put his hands up in defense and climbed out of the pool. I swam around for a bit and got out I was drying off and standing by the pool. Suddenly I was pushed into the pool. I swam to the surface and looked around Hunter was standing by the edge with a innocent smile on his face. I climbed out and chased him around the pool I gave up and jumped back in. We swam for hours and I would catch Hunter or one of his friends staring at me but I would shake it off. Their 2 years older then me they don't like me. Dinner time came and we all sat and ate the hot dogs and hamburgers. Eventually everyone left except 2 of my school friend and 1 of Hunter's close friends Daniel. I set up the air bed and all of us girls lied down in our room and watched Shadowhunters. The door cracked open a little and I noticed but nobody else did. I rolled over and fell asleep.

Third person 

"Aww man their all sleeping that sucks I wanted to scare them." Daniel said. No response from Hunter. 

"Bro you good what are you staring at??" Daniel asked. 

"Oh you like one of them alright spill it which one do you like?" Daniel said. 

"I don't know what your talking about." Hunter said and Daniel smacked him.

"Spill it." Daniel said and they sat in the bean bags and the door closed. This wasn't uncommon Hunter somehow wakes up in the girl's closet almost every other day.

"Oh it's that one what's her name Y-Y/N?" Daniel questioned.  

"W-WHAT are you talking about?" Hunter asked.

"I followed your eyes you were staring at her. Honestly she is pretty I think I might make a move if you don't mind." Daniel said.

"DON'T YOU DARE THINK ABOUT IT DANIEL!" I heard Hunter whisper yell.

Your pov 

Around 11pm Daniel made a mistake and blared a song on the radio everyone woke up and we threw pillows at the boys for waking us up. 

"Well were all up what should we do now?" Ally asked.

"How about we play a game??" Daniel said with a evil grin on his face. We agreed but didn't know what game to play.

"We could play hog!" I said. (Hide and Seek in the dark). Everybody agreed and we played for a long time. In one round Ally was it and she was counting outside the room I jumped into the closet and closed the door. Somebody jumped in after and I was a little shook but recovered. 

"Who is this?" I said feeling the persons face. The grabbed my hands and pulled them off their face.

"It's Hunt." He whispered. He still had my hands in his. Ally hit the closet door and I was about to yell but Hunter put his hand over my mouth. He pulled me into his chest. He tangled his hands into my hair. 

"SHHH i'll protect you." Hunter whispered. This brought up a memory. 

A few years ago

You, Hunter, Ally, and Daniel were having  a sleepover. You woke up at about 10pm because you had a nightmare. Since Hunter and Daniel were older they weren't asleep yet. 

My breathing was heavy and uneven and I was squealing a little trying to get away from the monster. Hunter jumped up into my bed and shook me a little so I knew he was real. I grabbed onto him and he gave me a tight hug. 

"It's ok I am here now your safe i'll protect you."  He  whispered. 

"Can you lay with me until I go to sleep again?" I asked. Hunter nodded and laid down with me. I fell asleep with my head on Hunter's chest. 

"I love you Y/N." Was the last thing I heard until I feel asleep.

Present time

The memory came flooding back and I smiled it meant nothing we were both young back then but It made me happy. Hunter and I sat on the floor waiting for Ally to find us. I got tired and laid my head on Hunter's shoulder. That's how Ally found us and how we woke up the next morning. Wrapped in each other's arms sleeping on a closet floor.
