Under the moon || Kakashi ||

Chapter 3

It's been 2 weeks since I've been staying here and Kushina decided we'd go out today to let me meet other children. She taught me words that I'd need to know and I just hoped that they'd like me.

"Is that the playground you told me about." I asked Kushina pointing at it.

"Yes." She said. "Go on."

I looked over at the other children who were playing with each other. I didn't know how to approach them, I was nervous.

"Hi!" A girl with short brown hair and a bright smile suddenly pops up in front of me.

"H-Hi." I said to her.

"I've never seen you around here before." She said. "Are you new here in the village."

"Yes." I said.

"I'm Rin Nohara." She said. "What's your name?"

"Chiharu." I said. "But Kushina said you can call me Haru for short."

"Come on, I should introduce you to my other friends since your new you should meet them." She said grabbing my hand and bringing me with her. "Guys."

She got all of their attention and they turned to look at her.

"This is Chiharu, she's new." Rin told them and they all began to introduce themselves.

"I'm Kurenai Yuhi." A girl with red eyes said to me and the guy next to her introduced himself next.

"I'm Asuma Sarutobi." He said.

"The Hokages son?" I asked remembering Minato tell me that was the Hokages last name.

"I guess." Asuma said and I furrowed my eyebrows confused.

"I'm Mighty Guy." One of the boys said putting his lips on my hand. I didn't know what he was doing but for some reason it felt unpleasant to me so I pulled my hand away.

"She didn't like it." Asuma said. "You should start leaving girls alone."

"Hey I-" He was about to say something but the last guy cut him off.

"And my name is Obito Uchiha, I see you guys saved the best for last." The boy said with a large grin with his hands behind his head.

"Your hair is really pretty." Rin said.

"Oh thank you." I said. I had long whitish bluish hair. Kushina has been brushing it for me, it was really tangled when I got here but now its down and straight.

"Have you enrolled in the academy yet?" Rin asked. "Because it's kind of past time."

"Minato and Kushina are working on it." I said and their eyes widened.

"Minato, as in Minato Namikaze?" Obito asked and I nodded.

"Him and his wife took me in." I said.

"Wow that's amazing, he's like the best ninja here next to the Hokage." Obito said. "I can't believe you get to live with him."

"Uh, Yeah." I said not sure on how to respond.

We all continued to talk to each other and they seemed like really nice people. Obito was a bit loud but I liked it and Kerunai seemed nice just like Rin and Asuma seemed laid-back, which was a word I learned from Kushina when she was explaining the type of person she was. But somehow I feel that she doesn't know herself what it means if she think she's laid-back.

It was getting late and the kids that I met parents came to pick them up. Kushina said she had some shopping to do and left a while ago with a woman I assumed was her friend. I sat and waited and saw Obito leaving on his own by himself.
