This is a Non-profit, fan fic. Yu-Gi-Oh belongs to Kazuki Takahashi, Konami, etc. This is all for fun. I only own the OC's in this story. The Puppet Chess cards used for Reikou Kitamori's Puppet Chess deck in this chapter belongs to BatMed on DeviantArt. He has many other card designs as well as his own effects for said cards that you all should go check out.
Unknowing to Lucas, Jacob was in the middle of the duel with an obnoxious, golden-eyed stranger.
"I set one card and end my turn," shouted Jacob.
"During your end phase," Jellal responded, "I activate the effect of The First Sarcophagus. Now, not only am I allowed to activate The Third Sarcophagus, I can send all three of my Sarcophagus to the graveyard in order to summon the Spirit of the Pharaoh!" The intimidating, pharaoh-like creature appeared from The First Sarcophagus, and raised his hand; 2 Pharaoh's Servants as well as 2 Skull Servants arose from the ground beneath. "I draw my card and I activate Harpie's Feather Duster to destroy all of your Face-Down cards."
Well there goes my Traps, Jacob thought to himself as he raised his arms protecting his view from the variety of shards that flew from the destruction of his set cards.
"Prepare to face defeat, human," Jellal pointed towards Jacob as he sent his monsters to destroy Jacob's defensive Emissary of the Afterlife
"On destruction," Jacob responded, "I can use Emissary of the Afterlife's effect, allowing the both of us to add 1 level 3 or lower Normal Monster from our decks to our hands." Jellal revealed a copy of the Pharaoh's Servant; Jacob revealed the Left Leg of the Forbidden One.
"That makes four," Jellal shouted, "But you will not have an opportunity to summon the Forbidden One. Now, my Normal Monsters, tackle him with an onslaught of attacks."
"Gah!" (Jacob 1600) Jacob dropped to his knees. Jacob could not believe what he was seeing.
Jellal began to burst with an immense amount of Duel Energy. This amount of energy must have been greater than what he had when he first dueled Lucas in the warehouse.
"All this energy is thanks to your friend, human," Jellal bragged, "My energy increases the pain we get from any damage we receive due to the Barrier of Ma'at. Even if you survive my attacks, you will not survive this duel."
Was this what Lucas felt? Jacob asked himself, I didn't think it would hurt this bad. But still, Jacob looked at the four pieces of Exodia he had in his hand, with the addition of a spell card. Just one more.
The doors of the game shop behind Jacob opened, and out came Lucas yelling out Jacob's name. Reikou followed after.
...
(Round 5: Lucas 5000 Reikou 4000)
"I draw," Lucas picked up his card and played it immediately. "I activate Change of Heart. This card allows me to take control of one of your monsters for the turn. I take control of your Puppet Queen." Reikou passed the Queen to Lucas, their fingertips touched, causing both of them to blush for a moment. They both quickly retrieved their hands; Lucas placed the Queen onto his field. He then placed the Queen into Reikou's graveyard. "I will now tribute your Queen in order to summon Berfomet. When Berfomet is Normal Summoned, I can add one copy of Gazelle, the King of Mythical Beasts from my deck to my hand."
"There is not any set cards for me to destroy with Puppet Rook's effect." Reikou looked at her Rook on the table, then back at Lucas's field.
"I attack your Rook with Berfomet."
Reikou pointed at Lucas, "Since you declared an attack, you must send the top five cards from the top of your deck to the Graveyard."
Lucas place his cards from his deck to the graveyard. At this moment, Lucas began to notice the Duel Energy emitting from his own, as well as the Duel Energy emitting from Reikou. His Scarlet eyes were reacting to a strong source of energy emitting from outside the shop
