Everything About You

Chapter Two

As soon as I’d shown the boys around they’d made themselves at home. Niall grabbed some food from the fridge and Louis grabbed a Dr. Pepper and they headed downstairs to play some sort of video game. Nate was really into that kind of stuff so we had everything, but I didn’t get it, at all.

I walked up the stairs and opened the door to my room. I decided to go on a run to take my mind off of things, running always helped with that. I’d been running a lot lately which is weird because I used to hate running. I threw on a pair of Nike shorts and a t-shirt, grabbed my iPod, and went to tell Jamie I was going out.

I knocked on Jamie’s door before pushing it open. He was just sitting on the bed talking to Brooklyn. I smiled at her and she waved.

“Hey Chloe! How are you?” She asked.

“You know… Just hanging in there.” I forced another smile. “So I’m just gonna go out on a run if that’s okay? The boys are in the basement so if they need anything you can help them out right?” I asked Jamie.

“Okay, just don’t be out too long. And of course.” I’d introduced the boys to Jamie when I was showing them around the house and they’d become friends immediately. Good, that means Jamie would have no problem with them staying here. I nodded to him and waved goodbye to Brooklyn before walking out and shutting the door behind me.

I jogged back up the driveway 45 minutes later breathing hard. I stopped to catch my breath before walking inside. I went straight to the kitchen to grab a glass of water before heading upstairs to shower.

When I got out of the shower it was already 6:30. I was pretty hungry for dinner. I threw on a pair of boxer shorts and a t-shirt and headed downstairs not really caring what I looked like. When I got to the kitchen dinner was ready and everyone was sitting around the table just getting ready to eat. I took my seat. Hamburgers, yum.

“Who made dinner?” I asked wondering whether it was Jamie or Brooklyn. Surprisingly

Harry and Niall raised their hands. Interesting. I raised my eyebrows but nodded taking a bite out of the hamburger. Wow it was delicious. Of course I ate the whole thing before excusing myself to the bathroom to throw up. Why did I do this to myself?

When I came back everyone else was just finishing up.

“Do you guys want to see your rooms for the night?” I asked the boys.

“Actually” Jamie interrupted. “I was thinking we’d ask if you’d just like to stay with us while you’re in town instead of finding a hotel to stay in.” The boys looked shocked.

“Yeah. Yeah of course. That would be great! Thank you!” Liam answered right away. “We’re going to be in town for the entire summer, about 3 more months. Jamie nodded. Wow, he really must like the boys.

“That sounds great!” He told them. “So where are your bags?” 

“They’re actually still in our car at the mall.” Niall answered. I volunteered to have Jamie and I go get the car and the bags. So we went off to the mall while the boys watched some TV. Luckily there wasn’t a crowd around the car anymore so Jamie was able to get inside and drive it back home.

When we arrived the boys all carried their bags inside. Since my mom’s room was empty we had 2 extra rooms in the house. Louis took Harry and ran to the larger of the 2 right away. Niall and Liam took the next room. Both rooms were in the basement. That left Zayn to sleep on the couch in Jamie’s room on the 2nd floor.

Brooklyn left around 9:30 and everyone except me headed to bed around 11. I hated sleeping because sleeping brought the dreams. But every second I was awake I was thinking.And thinking about everything was just as bad. I finally headed to bed around 1 in the morning. Everyone else on the 2nd floor was asleep. I didn’t know about the boys in the basement though. I quietly walked up the stairs and to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth before heading to bed. I fell asleep only 5 minutes after I laid down.
