(ZAYN’S P.O.V)

I knocked on Chloe’s door.

“Come in.” She called I slowly opened the door. She turned around to see who it was.

“Oh hey.” She smiled. She was standing in her closet looking for something to wear so I sat down on her bed and waited for her. She finally just sighed and grabbed a pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt.

“Hey.”

“Give me one second.” She said walking to the bathroom. “Be right back.”

“Okay.” I said laying on my back and spreading out on her bed. She was back within 5 minutes, her hair was pulled into a loose braid and she’d thrown on the sweat pants and t-shirt. Honestly, she could wear anything and still look gorgeous. She sat down next to me, cross legged.

“So what’s up?” She asked.

“Nothing really…I was just wondering if you’d want to do something with me today.” I asked hopefully.

“Sure. What did you have in mind?”

“I was thinking, we could make cookies or something?” I suggested. “I don’t know.”

“Hmm…we could do that.” A grin crept on to her face. “Beat you to the kitchen.” She caught me off guard, but she was already running. I laughed and followed her downstairs. She was sitting on the counter swinging her legs. “Jesus you’re slow.” She giggled and hopped off the counter and grabbed flour, sugar, butter, and all the necessities for a delicious chocolate chip cookie. I started throwing ingredients in the bowl when all of sudden a handful of flour hit my shoulder.

“Chloe you’re gonna get it!” I shouted at her. She was laughing and running across the kitchen. I grabbed a handful of flour and chucked it at her t-shirt. She screamed when it hit her..

“Lucky shot.” She called from the other side of the room. I laughed and ran over to her throwing my arms around her from behind and picked her up and spun her in a circle. “Zayn, put me down!” She said through her laughter. As soon as I let go she ran back over and grabbed a glass full of water and dumped it over my head. She pouted her lips in a fake sad expression. My face showed how shocked I was, but I quickly recovered. I ran over to the sink and turned the faucet on grabbing another glass. As soon as it was full I tossed the water at her. Again, it hit her, but this time in the face. I mocked an apologetic face.

“Opps.” I said raising my hands and shrugging my shoulders. Her surprised expression quickly turned into laughter. She walked over and held her hand out.

“Truce?” She asked. I grabbed one more handful of flour and threw it over her hair before quickly shaking her hand so she couldn’t get me.

“Truce.” I agreed. She glared at me.

“You better watch your back Malik.” But she couldn’t keep a straight face for long, her glare soon turned into to a smile and she burst out laughing. I laughed with her until our eyes met and we both stopped. I reached up to brush a piece of hair away from her face, my thumb grazed her cheek. I slowly leaned in until we were only an inch away. I heard someone cough behind me and quickly turned around to see the boys staring at the kitchen in shock. I ran my hand through my hair frustrated. Did they really have to interrupt right now? They looked at me apologetically. Whatever, I couldn’t stay mad at them, I smiled at them. They grinned back at me.

“I swear we’ll clean this up.” I promised them. Niall looked like he was about ready to cry. With the kitchen like this he wouldn’t be able to make food. “And I’ll call take-out for your mid-morning snack Niall.” I rolled my eyes at his totally relieved expression.
