Hey I'm Sera, short for Serafina, I'd tell you my last name—I'm surprised I even remember it—buuut I live in an orphanage so who cares. My mom and dad split up when me and my twin sister, Jenny—short for Jeniffer—were 7. I hope she's ok, and still alive. Drunk dad hopefully didn't kill her, or she was smart and ran away. Mom got a job in NY, so we left Orlando and our old friends and life behind. A car crash at 9 years old got me orfand, I would of been 10 in a week. I've been here for 6 years, I've thought of running away but I made good friends, and l can't believe I found some old friends from my past.
If a little girl at the orphanage named Annie can try to run away—or find a way out—there's no harm in trying. I know I'll be leaving friends behind, but l'v got to try.
And besides, I've had this birthmark on my left wrist for a long time—a circle with some weird curbs on it—mom and dad said it's just a birthmark, but I know it's more then that. I'll find out what it means.
