7: Astro Projection & Slingring

Sera's POV:

I was so hungry that after I finished most of the food in the sanctum, I took such a warm bath that I almost fell asleep there. The moment I laid down on the bed, I was out cold. I've never felt a bed so soft and comfortable with smooth blankets since I was a child. It was like sleeping on a cloud. This whole day felt like a dream.

*time skip*

"Rise and shine sleeping beauty, time for breakfast and training." Nope, yesterday wasn't a dream. "Here put these on, they should probably fit you." He handed me a red tunic with boots, leggings, and wrist bands; looks like this will be the morning routine for the rest of my life. "Come on cloak, time for breakfast."

*time skip to the training grounds*

"So Doctor, what are we learning today?" He opened a box and handed me this weird 2 finger ring. "This is called a Slingring, it can help you conger up a weapon and open a portal to wherever you want to go, and sometimes get out of a bad situation."
"So, it's basically a faster mode of transportation?" "Ya, let's go with that." He used his ring to open a portal to the sehera desert; it's hotter here than both Italy and Orlando combined. Boi do I miss Orlando. "Now in order for the ring to work, you must picture the place you want to go, all its details and everything in order for it to work perfectly . . . . goodbye." And just like that. He was gone. "What the hell." Who leaves a girl in the middle of the desert with a relic, a ring, and with a sandstorm coming her way? . . . oh no.
As if the heat wasn't bad enough, now a storm is coming. A strong wind was blowing hair in my face making it hard to see the storm; by the time I got my hair out of my face, sand was coming at me and my face. Ok consentrate, picture the place in your mind.

Stephen's POV:

The Ancient One left me in the cold, so I left her in the heat. I know she can do it. Dylan came next to me with a smirk on his face, "So how long do you think it'll take her?"
"It took me almost two minutes, it shouldn't take her more than that."

Sera's  POV:

I saw sparks appearing as I moved my fingers in the form of a circle, I kept the image of the training grounds in mind; when the circle got big enough, I just threw myself at it. I landed on concrete floor with a thud, my cloak went dusting itself off and me spitting sand out of my mouth. I'll be tasting sand for the rest of the day. I looked up to see Strange and Dylan in front of me, "Well then, I think I've mastered opening a portal, now if you gentlemen will excuse me. I need to wash up."
"Meet me at the sanctum when you're done."

*time skip to the sanctum*

"Ok Doctor, now what?" If he leaves me somewhere alone again, I'll throw my dagger at him. And it never misses its target. "Don't worry you won't go anywhere, just sit on the couch." He sat next to me, and I noticed he had gloves on his hands. He put his hand on my forehead, and the next thing I saw was light. "You can open your eyes, Sera. Don't worry you're not dead, you're still on earth, alive, and in the sanctum." He was right. But I was floating in midair and not in my body.
"This is called Astro Projection, it takes the soul out of the body. When you're fighting in this form, your physical form won't feel the pain. But if you die in this form, you die in real life." Wow . . I'm a ghost . . . cool.

Stephen's POV:

She was acting like a child as expected: rolling in circles in the air, swimming as if she were in water, doing the worm, the moonwalk, walking on the walls and sealing, and I was just staring at her in my astrol form. "Oh I almost forgot. If your soul is out of your body for too long—you'll die." At those words she came down from the sealing with a smile on her face; I could tell she was scared on the inside. "Well I think I've mastered the Astrol Projection, I'll get back in my body now."
"You're not done yet, the rest of Astrol Projection you'll have to study. Now let's get lunch, you and your brain will need a lot energy. And you'll need google translate to study." I'll need a lot of energy and rest. Physical training begins tomorrow.
