"So, you get to pretend to be THE Park Jimin's girlfriend?" Jin-Ae asks, her voice getting louder as she said his name. "Where am I when all the cool stuff happens?" she continues, throwing her arms in the air. A slight laugh comes from me, as I roll my eyes. "This is not cool. This is simply professional, okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever.." She trails off, placing her butt in a seat at our 11:20 lecture together. I was completely starving, but I only had one more class left before lunch. Other's piled into the class, and the teacher finally came to begin the lecture.
After the class had finished, Jin-Ae agreed to go with me to the dining hall. She usually went to some kind of cafe, so it made me satisfied that she came with me now. My stomach grumbled once again, making me wince and place a hand on my belly. "Don't worry, baby, I'm gonna get some food into you right now." A weird look comes from Jin-Ae, making me shrug and go to grab a salad. Salad was like one of my favorite foods, especially drenched in ranch. Jin-Ae was more of a junk food person, and since she had a high metabolism, she could eat as much as she wanted. She would just poop. A LOT.
We head out towards the tables, a salad in my hand, and a pizza in hers. Along with a piece of cake, and a cookie. My face scrunches at her plate, me wondering how she could possibly eat all that. Then I remembered, it was Jin-Ae we were talking about. "Wait, Angel, I forgot to get a soda. Go get a table, and I'll meet you there." She walks off and I nod, but not before being stopped once again.
"Wait Angel! Your name is Angel, right? Min Angel?" A voice asks me, making me turn my head and look at the person. He had brown hair, and silver earrings in his ears. He was also sat next to two other guys, who had their eyes on me. He didn't look familiar, so I was sure I didn't know him. "Um..Yes? That is my name. Who are you?" I ask, raising my eyebrows. He chuckled and had a wide smile on his face. It reminded me of a bunny. He's really cute. "Oh! Sorry, my brother told me about you. You know him right? Of course you do!"
"Still not understanding, who are you?" I ask once again, before another guy speaks up. "Why are you still standing?" A platinum blonde haired guy says, making my eyes move over to look at him. Without thinking, I sit down. " I'm Min Yoongi, and this is Jeon Jungkook." He gestures to the brown haired guy, who waves at me. "And that one over there is Jung Hoseok. He's in his own world right now, just ignore him." I nod, but still look over at the raven haired guy.
"Anyways, My brother is Park Jimin! Your "boyfriend"" Jungkook makes air quotes and winks at me. This bunny like guy, was Jimin's brother?! What has the world come to, honestly. I realized I hadn't spoken for a while so I quickly said, "Uh, Yeah." While clearing my throat. Where was Jin-Ae when I needed her?
As if on cue, Jin-Ae came parading back to me, a grape soda in her hand. "Sorry I took so long, I didn't know which flavor I wanted." A embarrassed grin was on her face, but it quickly faded as she realized where we sat. "Why are you sitting here?" She asked, her eyes skimming over the faces of the three guys, until they landed on me. "Oh, I don't know.." I trailed off.
Something must have snapped inside of him, because Hoseok head quickly looked at Jin-Ae. "You can't sit with us." He said, and pursed his lips together into a tight line. "Why can't she?" I ask, turning my head in confusion. "She just can't." He simply said, Yoongi and Jungkook giving him a confused look.
"JuSt KiDdInG!" Hoseok exclaimed, honestly making me jump a bit. Jin-Ae laughed nervously and sat down, looking from me to Hoseok. "Oh well, I'm Jin-Ae." She says awkwardly, before everyone introduces themselves again. "You're our friends now, okay?" Jungkook says, with bright big eyes.
"Okay..."I respond, a small laugh coming from me. He was really cute. I can't believe he is really Jimin's brother. The conversation continues from there, everyone sitting there getting to know each other slightly. There were a couple of spit up's, including Hoseok constantly failing at speaking English, and one of the boys having to correct them, then they end up failing themselves.
I had no more classes for the rest of day, so I had some time before I had to go meet Jimin's at his fathers company. I was dreading that hour. "We have to go shopping for an outfit!" Jin-Ae exclaimed, looking at me with big eyes and a wide smile. She was more excited about this than I was.
A sigh comes from me as I look over at her, a tired expression on my face. I needed to sleep before I had to put up my act. My acting wasn't even that good, so I most definitely needed to sleep so I could put my best energy forth. "Come on! Jimin said it himself. Your style sucks. And when Park Jimin wants something, Park Jimin gets that something." She said looking back at me with a slight nod.
"Fine!" I give in, wincing at her shout of happiness. One day, I'm gonna abandon this girl as a friend. Probably not though. She grabs my hand and tugs on it, using her free hand to call for a cab. She successfully does it, which leaves a shocked look on me face. Whenever I try, the cabs either ignore me, or splash me with water on a rainy day.
We arrived at the mall, where the excitement in Jin-Ae only increased. Rolling my eyes at her, I travel into my favorite store, only to be pulled back by Jin-Ae. "Oh no no no, You're not shopping there. Not today, and hopefully not ever again..." She trailed off on her last part, making it hard for me to hear. "But why? I love this store!" It sold baggy clothing, which I loved wearing. It made me feel tiny in the world.
"You're being introduced to PARK JIMIN'S DAD! You need to look presentable." Jin-Ae said, a little louder than she needed to. "Well, tell the whole world why don't you?" I say, me becoming amused at her. "Sorry, just come. I'll show you where I shop." She pulls on my hand once again, and brings me to a store called Fleur. It was french so it had to be classy. The door rang a simple tune as we pulled open the door.
"You're gonna look so nice, neither Jimin or his dad will be able to take their eyes off of you." Jin-Ae nodded, in a more quiet tone this time. "I don't think I want either eyes on me. " I shook of the comment, and looked through the racks of clothes. "This looks cute." I hold up a dull grey shirt, looking at her with a grin. "How do we go to a fancy clothes store, and you still manage to find the ugliest clothes??" Jin-Ae questioned, making me quite offended. "Well ddaeng."
"How about this?" She holds up a red and white striped shirt, her now being the one with a grin. I make a iffy kind of face, which makes her groan. "Just try it on." She throws the shirt in my hands and pushes me into a nearby dressing room. I stare at the shirt for a while, but then decide its best not to protest against Jin-Ae. As I begin to take my clothes off, a white skirt hits my head.
"Try this on too!" I hear a voice say. I shake my head at her stupidity, and move the skirt from off my head. Pulling the shirt over my head, I re position it and look in the mirror. It was cute, but it wasn't my style. I then pull on the skirt, which also wasn't my style, and look in the mirror. I couldn't believe it. I WAS ACTUALLY A GIRL! "Would you hurry up, ya slow poke." I hear from outside the dressing room. "Stop rushing! I'm done!" I pull open the door and present myself to her.
Jin-Ae covers her mouth with her hands. "I feel like a proud mother. You look so beautiful!" I become embarrass, and smile extremely hard. "As your stylist I say, fabulouso! But as your roommate and friend I say, oh my god! That's my friend!" This weirdo never fails to surprise me. "Okay, lets just go pay and get out of here." I grab my other clothes, and we head to the front desk. "By the way, were probably starving tonight, because this money was originally for dinner. But it's okay! You're more important." She admits, which makes my eyes pop out of my head. "Jin-Ae you-" My hand raises up to hit her, but she quickly crouches down into a prayer position.
Once we get home, Jin-Ae quickly dolled me up even more. She put red lipstick on me, and stuck silver earrings in my ear. I might have been more surprised than she was. "Wow, Angel. You're really pretty. You should become a Idol!" Jin-Ae suggests, making me snort. "I can't sing." I simply say, making her roll her eyes. "Quit the bullshit." She deadpans, making me sigh. "Anyways, I should be leaving soon." I quickly change the subject, which makes her groan but she lets it go. "Okay! Do good, and don't mess with the big kids. And remember, if Jimin's daddy is scary, you don't run away like a little girl. Keep your big girl skirt on, and do this for your friend, Okay? This your moment to FINALLY make me proud. Don't mess it up." I nod feeling the pressure. Jin-Ae rarely gets serious like this.
"Good luck!" Her mood changes quickly, as she places a big grin on her face. Which was even more scary. By now we were outside of our apartment. She had given me the whole speech as we walked down. Jin-Ae quickly called a cab, since I can't do it myself, and I got in and closed the door. "Bye! Remember, I'll love you even if you fail! Maybe!" At that the cab drove off, and I was left to think more about this situation. And the more I thought, the more nervous I got.
