~Chapter 8~

Laura's POV

It was around midnight and I and Taylor were still on the garden sofa when I could hear her phone buzzing on the cushion. I decided to grab it and declined the call not looking at who it was; I just wanted to go back to sleep and not wake Taylor up.

**BUZZZZZZ**

For fuck sake I let out a grunt, pick up Taylors phone and see missed calls from an unknown number so I just put it on silent but by the time I had done that, Taylor had woken up.

"mmmm what time is it?" She asked whilst rubbing her eyes.

"It's time you go back to sleep for at least another 9 hours" I reply holding her close to me with her head on my chest and arms wrapped around me.

I love moments like this.

Just the two of us, sleeping outside underneath the stars not giving a flying fuck about others around us.

These are the moments I adore....

Taylor's POV

I just about woke up to the sound of me phone going off and Laura getting pissed at trying to turn it off.

I don't think much of it instead I rest my head on Laura's chest to fall asleep to the sound of her heart beat through her chest.

**Next morning**

"Good morning princess" I hear a raspy voice above me.

"Good morning" I said whilst stretching my body as much as I could to wake myself up.

"Who was that on the phone last night?" I asked curiously

"I don't know they had no caller ID. Why, should I have picked up?"

"Oh don't worry I'll call them back later on"

"Oh okay" I hear uncertainty in Laura's voice.

"It's nothing to worry about okay" I say reassuring her.

"I know it's not, did you want to call them back now?"

I knew Laura was uneasy about who had called me so I decided to call them back with her next to me so that she had nothing to worry about.

I went to my recants and called back the unfamiliar number that had rung me five times last night.

"Hello is this Miss Schilling?" A man said on the other end of the phone. Laura was able to her him as I had out it on loud speaker.

"Speaking?" I said not knowing this strange voice.

"This is Doctor Stone; we've had your test results an----

I quickly turned the phone off of loud speaker and just looked at Laura as she looked at me with confusion.

I quickly saw her face change from pale to red as she was getting worried. I put my hands on hers and squeeze them tightly and she returns the squeeze.

I still haven't told her.....

**Flashback 2 weeks ago**

I woke up this morning ready to go to the doctors as I hadn't been feeling too good the past couple of days.

They did the usual, take my blood pressure, temperature and a blood test to be on the safe side and when they had finished up, they gave me some antibiotics and said they'd let me know I anything pops up.

A couple days after that I had a phone call from the hospital saying that they wanted me to come in just to run a few more bloods but it was nothing to worry about so I did just that, I drove to the hospital.

Laura has been texting me all day but I was kinda busy so I just texted her saying I'll speak in a bit but not right now.

All the doctors did was take blood from me and then send me home.

They didn't tell me anything just took the blood and off I went.

**Current day**

General POV

"Taylor please tell me what's going on.... Please" Laura said with her eyes full with tears ready to spill at any moment.

Taylor's face was just blank leaving Laura with so many questions but instead of pouncing on her with all of them, she grabbed Taylor's hands in hers and just looked her in the eyes now crying.

still had no emotion...

"I-----I---- ha----." Taylor couldn't get out her words. Tears now running freely down her face.

"Lau---ra please don't le----ave me, just hold me" Taylor said as she just sat there with no facial expressions but Laura did not hesitate to pull Taylor into a hug filled with love and sadness but mainly promises.

Promises that neither of them would never ever break.

"I will never Leave you baby.....I'm here but please tell me what that doctor person said...." Laura now has her head in Taylors neck nut pulls back to wait for her response.....

"I have stage three leukaemia cancer...."
