The Ghost and I [Sterek]

Chapter 6

 "I don't know an Ian, my name is Peter and you must be Stiles." Peter said trying to be as friendly as possible. Derek could feel the tension in the room and started moving closer to Stiles. Stiles wasn't having it and handed Claudia to Erica before getting up.

 "You're Ian Hale. You were the one who tried to keep me and Derek away from each other. You are the reason why Derek left me. You're the reason I died with out my mate next to me." Stiles kept getting angrier as he continued speaking. "You are the reason my life is so screwed up!" Stiles yelled and was about to lunge at the older man but Derek had caught him. Derek quickly tried his hardest to calm down his mate. 

 Peter just stood there with eyes wide looking very confused. Some how all the pack had gathered around the living room to see what was going on. Once Stiles had calmed down enough Derek kissed the top of his head before saying "Stiles, this is my uncle Peter, not Ian. Peter doesn't know you and you don't know Peter. You have me now and no one is going to take me away from you, I promise. Now can you breathe for me and be nice."

 "I know Peter's a dick but damn," Somebody had mumbled, probably Scott, who was met with a  glare from both Derek and Peter. 

 Once Stiles was confident enough that he wasn't going to kill Peter right on the spot he pulled away from Derek and walked over to Peter. Derek was a step behind and was ready to jump into action if things went south.

 "I'm sorry that was your first impression of me. Almost everybody in this pack looks like my old friends and it's getting hard to wrap my mind around all this. I also hope you are nothing like Ian and we are able to get along. I'm Stiles Stilinski-Hale and Erica is holding your great niece Claudia." Stiles explained and at the end he held his hand out.

 "Hello Stiles, I'm Peter Hale and I'm hoping that our relationship does go better than my distant relative." Peter said and he shook Stiles hand back. "And if it means anything, I lost my mate a couple years ago so I would never keep anyone away from their mate. No one deserves to go through that much pain."
