Just As Good As It Gets

As soon as I got that text I hurried to open the door. I closed the door behind me and locked it and put the security alarm on. I walked quickly upstairs and put my bag down in my room. I changed into some sweats and a tank top. I left the lights off in my room and sat down on my bed. A rock was pelted at my window. I got up and peeked through a hole in my blinds. It was a man with a gun pointed at my window. I quickly turned down the brightness on my phone and locked my bedroom door.  I hid under my bed and called 911.

"Hello 911, whats your emergency?" The lady asked

"A man is in my house and hes trying to kill me." I whispered

"Ok where are you located." The lady asked again. I told her my adress  and she said help is on the way. I stayed hidden under the bed until the cops were here. I heard the front door open and I bit down hard on the insides of my mouth. I prayed that I would stay safe. I heard the door closed and the man walked up the stairs. Im guessing he checked every room. I had time, I got our from under the bed and grabbed my knife from my draw and hid in the closet. I locked closet door and waited for him. The busted open and I heard him saying curse words and muffled words under his breath. He looked all around, until he couldn't find me, he picked the closest lock. The door opened and I saw the man. He yanked me out the closet and I smacked him. He punched me in my lip.

"What the fuck do you want old man?" I asked

"Your a cruel little bitch. Youre a disgrace." He said

"Your talking, you come in my house at 8:00 pm to kill me. You need a life." I said smacking him.

He threw me to floor and try to kick me but I got up and jumped on his back. I bit him and he yelled. I got off his back and he pointed a gun at me and pulled the trigger. I ducked and tackled him to the floor, I got on top of him and punched him in the face mutiple times .He pushed me off him and tried crushing my hand but I rolled over. He got the gun again and pointed it at me. I screamed and thats when 3 cops came upstairs and pinned the man to the floor.

"Hun are you okay?" The police officer asked while handcuffing the man.

"Yea I'm fine. He has been harassing me for the past few days." I said, I went to my bag and gave the note to the police officer. He read it and stuffed it in his bag pocket.

"Ok madam, he won't be troublesome to you anymore. You will need to come down to the precinct to answer some questions on monday at 12pm. This man Alex Black has been on the police wanted list for 3 years. He killed someone and made a getaway, somehow he manged to away from the law." The police officer said. I nodded. They asked me if I was okay and they took down everything I said that happen. When they were done, they left. I closed the door behind them locked it. I put on the security alarm again and went to clean up around the house. I decided to call up Kiara. She picked up.

"Ariana I just heard what happened. Are you ok? Do you wanna have a sleepover with Sata and I?" She said panicking. 

"Yes, Im fine. I've been wanting to talk to you. So go pick Sata up and ill open the door for you guys." I said.

"Ok, be there in 10 minutes." Kiara hunged up.

I texted my mom and told what happened a few minutes ago. She replied and said that she has to talk to me when she gets home. Ive been missing my mom to. We havent talked alot lately. I havent even talked to my dad. I finished cleaning and I went to shower. I scrubbed my body and I felt all the pain being lifted. I felt all the hurt being washed down the train. I felt everything I was feeling being washed down the drain. I turned off the water and changed into Brooklyn's shirt and his sweatpants. I smiled at the way it smelled. The doorbell rung and I raced downstairs to open the door. There was Kiara and Sata there with bean bags and food. I hugged them both and they followed me upstairs. Sata, Kiara, and I sat down on my be and began to talk.

"Are you okay Ari?" Kiara asked

"Yes, I'm fine. He didnt bruise me too bad." I giggled. Kiara and Sata pulled me in a group hug. I'm glad youre okay.

"What was it like, ya know, meeting your killer?" Sata asked. I took a deep breath ready to explain everything.

"It was bad. I never knew when I was going to die or when he was going to rape me. But we just had a fight. Turns out his name was Alex Black. He's been wanted for 3 years now." Kiara and Sata nodded.

"Kiara I have something to tell you and I know youre going to be mad." I said.

"Ok go ahead." Kiara said rubbing her baby bump.

"Well Brooklyn died a few days ago and I was really upset. So Zayn came over and he cheered me up and we kind of made love together. Please I know youre mad. If I were you I wouldn't talk to me or Zayn anymore. " I said playing with my fingernails.

"Girl chill, Im not mad." She said laughing. Sata and I looked at her like wtf.

"Girl what you on?" Sata asked

"High off life baby." She said

"Think the mood swings kicked in. What do you mean youre not mad?" I asked.

"Girl every girl does that. Sometimes when youre sad you need the comfort of a man to make you feel better. I totally understand and sometimes the men are pressured and want to give girls what they want in order for them to be happy. Im not mad, I did the same too a while back when my friend was dating Jason. So nobodys perfect, I totally understand." Kiara said. Something in my mind told me she was mad. I looked at her and ordered divergent.

A few minutes into the movie, thats when Sata and Kiara fell asleep. I got up from the bed and moved some of my curtains to see that I had a balcony, I never really noticed it. I went out on the balcony and began to talk the stars.

"Hello tiny bright stars. Do you see my every move? Can you tell me why I'm the way I am? Can you please tell me why everything I love has to go away? I dont know what I want in life. Im pretty much a slut. I had 2 boyfriends in the passed and I slept with my friends boyfriend. Im a bad best friend to Zayn and Kiara. I almost got killed today and saw that she was the only person who cared if I was okay. I don't cherish her as much as she cherishes me and I wish I wasnt a bad friend. I wish I can go back and change the way everything was. I really wish that people can forgive everything I've done and let it go." I said,  by this time I was crying. Sata came out and gave me a big hug.   I cried onto her shoulder.

"Im so sorry." I said crying onto her shoulder.

"I never meant to hurt anyone." This time I was bauling now. Sata rubbed my back.

"How about we go to the beach in the morning and talk? Is that cool with you?" Sata asked. I nodded. I closed the balcony door and pulled the curtains over it. I hopped into bed with Kiara and Sata and dozed off.
