Chapter 5- Yule Ball

>~<Harry's POV>~<

boys sat on one side of McGonagall and girls sat on the other "as we are hosting the Triwizard tournament means that we will be hosting a Ball, the Yule Ball" she says and girls start to whisper as the guys sit back with a groan, but for me i was quite interested "The Yule Ball is of course a chance for us all to — er — let our hair down." she said a walking around, she told us that it was Friday night, 3 days... alight i think it will be easy to find a date.. "Ah, Mr. Weasley come help me demonstrate" she said and Ron's eyes widened and stood up walking up and she put his hand son her waist and they 'danced' and the girls giggled "You won't let him forget this will you?" i ask the twins "never" they said in sequence making me laugh, i smile at Draco who was next to me.. should i ask him? i'm not sure.. it felt like days after she finished explaining..

I walk down the stairs from class and i hear i think someone talking, i walk to the wall and listen "would you go to the ball with me?" a boy said and there was a little laugh and i'm guessing they nodded "Have a good day, see you in potions" the boy said and walked through the arch way and walked past me, Malfoy?.. i hum in questioning and i walk to see who the person who he asked but she was gone, hmm... "Hey Harry" i say and he turns around on the stairs "uh want to go to the ball with me?" i say and he stares at me "uh- I was already asked" he says and i frown "who?" i asked and he shakes his head "doesn't matter" he says and he walked away.. damn it.. i don't have anyone to go with, Dean broke up with me because i talk about Harry too much and Harry left me because i started hooking up with Dean.. shit.. i walk and find Neville "Hey Neville" i say and he turns around "Hi Ginny" he says and i smile "want to go to the ball with me?" i say sweetly and he blushes "i- uh already asked someone, sorry Ginny" he said and he walked away with a wave... ugh!.. i run into a kinda cute boy "why hello" his voice was deep and he had brod shoulders but a round face, not really my type.. my type is usually chiseled jaw bones and abs.. damn it im thinking of harry again "sorry" i say with a blush "do you have a date to the ball?" he said sweetly and i shake my head "vould you like to go with me?" he said and i shrug "why not" i say sadly and he smiles and walks away.. that sucked.

I fix my suit a bit and i walk down the stairs to meet Draco outside the great hall, Hermione was going with Krum, Fleur was with a tall boy.. not sure who.. and Cedric was going going with Cho Chang. They were lined up, Cedric and Cho in the front and Fleur in the back with the tall boy, Hermione and Krum in the middle.. I link arms with Draco and we go to the back and he smiles.. music starts playing and they open the doors, we walk down the aisle and whispers began "Is that Malfoy and Harry Potter?" someone said and i smirked "It can't be" i think Ginny said from the side.. We walk to the middle of the dance floor and he puts his hand on my waist and i put my hand on his shoulder and we hold hands as we dance, he spins me making me laugh and we danced for our part. He lifted me up and spun me as the other guys did with the girls making me blush, he pulled me close and we spun and danced for the part and then everyone clapped as we finished. Everyone joined on the dance floor and we all danced, Draco took my hand and brought be to a table with drinks "you're a great dancer Draco" i say and he smiles "so are you" he said and he picked up a small pastry thing and put it in my mouth, i eat it with a bush over my face and he smiled, he laughed and poked my nose after i finished "dance?" i say and he smiles and takes my hand and we walk back to the obnoxiously loud dance floor, everyone was jumping and cheering.. when we got on the floor the music slowed down to a slower song, Ron left the floor leaving the girl he took and sat down crossing his arm. Hermione was giggling with Krum and smiling brightly, Ginny was with a taller boy but didn't look like she was enjoying it.. she was leaning against the wall with the boy pretty sure watching me and Draco, Draco put his hands around my waist and i put my hands around his neck and i smiled up at him.. we swayed back and forth to the song.
