The world is changing Infront of my eyes, I'm not moving but the world is changing fast.
Time hasn't stopped, but somehow I'm frozen,
My stance hasn't faltered, not even folded. The world is changing fast,
I can see it from here, I'm right in the middle.
But doesn't anyone take notice that I haven't fiddled,
Completely glued, not even trembled. Why can't I move?,
Is it fear of rejection or contridiction?,
Is it because I fear that of I start moving,
I'll be swallowed by these changes, by these mortals surrounding my soul.So I don't move
Fear has won this victory,
Keeping me prohibited, strictly restricted. The world is changing fast,
I'm not moving, but the world is changing fast.
Time hasn't stopped, but somehow I'm frozen,
My stance hasn't faltered, not even folded.© Danielle Patrick
