  Hey guys. So this is my first story on wattpad so if there's any mistakes or anything that I might have messed up on let me know. Also, I won't always have consistent updates but ill do my best.

  It was the fourth... Somewhere around 8:00 p.m. and loud booms kept ringing in my ears. I sit at my desk staring at the blank page and how empty it is. No inspiration. Nothing. I look up from my enemy that is my journal and see the darkening sky. I decide to go out even though it's not my usual time.

I decide to go to the bar to see my friend Derik. It's just down the street from my apartment.

When I get there, I see lots of people... more than I would usually allow myself to come into contact with. I see Derik serving a drink to a nice young lady. he's not fooling anyone with that smile though, he likes her. Maybe only for tonight but he does.

As I start to walk over, Derik notices me and the girl he was talking to looks over as well. when she turns in her chair, I see another girl a little younger than the one Derik was talking to. this girl is drinking water...

"Oaks! Hey what'ya doin' here man, it's not your normal time. you alright?"

"I got bored..." I hold up my journal. "No inspo', so I came here."

"huh, well..." he points to the first girl and says, "this is Paige" then he points to the second girl, "and this is... uhm..."

"Alex." she says. "My name's Alex."

  She holds out her right hand but I don't really notice when she does. Instead, I'm focusing on her face. Her eyes, different shades of brown. Her nose like a button. Her mouth in such a perfect happy shape. All of it mixed in with her beautiful slightly curled brown hair.

  A few seconds go by before I notice her hand out ready to shake mine. I slowly took her hand and shook it.

"Alex..." I whispered confirming her name.

I like her...

"Well, I get off in Fifteen, sooo..." Derik says.

"Well I was gonna ask you if you wanted to come over when your shift was done but..." I say. Alex chimes in and says,

"Where do you live...oaks, was it?" she grabbed her water and sipped it while she waited for my reply.

"Just down the street in the small apartment complex. And my real name's Fredrick, oaks is just what Derik calls me."

"Well, how about you and Alex go hang out and Derik and I can catch up on things." Paige says.

"Yeah, how 'bout that! that sounds great to me. what do you think oaks?" Derik asks.

I stand up to put my coat on.

"you know, I think I'm just gonna-"

"Oh, c'mon Fred. you can tell me why Derik calls you oaks." Alex says

I look to Derik who is quite obviously shaking his head telling me I should take up the offer.

so we went to my apartment...

On the way there I told her why Derik calls me oaks. It's because when we were kids I had this obsession with oak trees.

We walk up to the door and I say,

"So, this is me"

I open the door and let her in first. I put my stuff down by the door and take her coat.

"You're very clean." she says

"Well, I like to be organized... Make yourself at home. Would you like some tea?"

"Sure, thanks." she says.

So I made tea.

We sat on the couch and talk for hours. We mostly talked about Derik and Paige though. We eventually fell asleep there. We didn't do anything. We just slept.

Nothing but slept...
