Authors note- I know this is a pretty short chapter but I didn't want to put this part in the next chapter so I just made it its own chapter. anyway, enjoy!

I call Derik after I wake up. he'll know what to do right?

"Hello?" he said, in his morning voice.

"Hey. Derik." I said nervously.

"Oaks?" he paused "Why are you calling me at six in the morning?" he was chuckling.

"Why are you laughing? It's not six is it?" I said as I stood up to check the curtains.

He just kept chuckling softly. I could hear his smile through the phone.

"What is it oaks?" he asked.

"oh, uhm. I think Alex asked me out yesterday."

"Shit." he said, surprised.

"I know. I don't know what to do. Like, what do I wear? How do I act? You know?"

I was really hoping for some real advice.

"You want my honest opinion?" he breathed.

"Yes."

He paused...

"Well, she obviously likes you how you are if its a date. so, I know its probably not what you wanna hear but, just be yourself." he said.

I could hear the honesty in his voice.

"Okay, but what should I wear?"

"Well, what did you wear yesterday?"

I thought for a moment...

" I wore, my yellow long sleeve with my khaki denims, and black Vans. Why?"

"'Cause man, you know what to wear. What did you wear the day before yesterday?"

"Oh, umm. I wore my grey sweatshirt with my brown pants."

That was the day we woke up on the couch.

"What shoes?" he asked quickly.

"Black Supras. Why?"

"YOU KNOW WHAT TO WEAR! YOULL BE FINE!" he half shouted.

"But-"I started

He hung up

"Asshole." I said to myself

-2 hours later-

Authors note- I know another cliff to hang off of. I swear next chapter they meet up. So, just look forward to it.
