Chapter 7 - Just a Slumber Party With the Girls
After Brittany and Breanna left my house I took some time to get myself looking slightly better. I couldn't do much about the huge bulge on my forehead, especially because every time I touched it, I felt a surge of pain throughout my whole head. I took some more pain killers and talked to my mom about the girls coming over, "Hey, mom? I know you know the girls are coming over tonight, but since they didn't sleep over last night, can they sleep over tonight?" "Don't you have work tomorrow morning, honey?" My mom asked half paying attention to me and half working on the crossword in the newspaper. "No, they gave me the weekend off and the following week because of what happened. Louis told you what happened, right?" I asked, feeling a little concerned. "Oh, yes. That handsome boy who stayed here last night?" Only my mom who would automatically think Louis Tomlinson was handsome. "Yes, mom, him," I replied. "He told me what happened, alright. Clumsy Chloe much? I really like that boy. You should hang out with him more," she said chuckling. "Mom!" I exclaimed while walking out of the dinning room, heading back up to my room.
I was able to sneak away from my mother without more questioning about Louis, and made it safely to my room. I never really talked to my mom about boys. I usually just to my friends for that. Like I've said before, I've become kind of distant from my parents. Since my father lived in another town about 30 minutes away, I stayed with my mom to finish school here. I saw him often, but his house was pretty boring, so I never had much to do. He was going to be on vacation this weekend and coming week so I wouldn't have to be thrown back and forth between parents for a while. My sisters on the other hand, didn't necessarily mind it.
Speaking of, I was glad neither of them were home to see Louis because that would be a bad situation. Thankfully, my older sister went away for the summer and Lily was in Pennsylvania with her friend for the week. My older sister would probably hit on him and prod me with questions while my little sister would drool over him, asking for his autograph. Lily loved One Direction and she especially loved Louis Tomlinson, the carrot man. I still found it funny how she was only 11, yet she was crushing on the oldest boy in the band who happens to be 20. Wow, I haven't even thought about how old he his! That might be a problem... but then again my mom did say she really liked him. Wait! What am I doing? Nothing is going to happen with Louis and I. Nothing.
Downstairs, I heard the doorbell ring and shot out of my rooming screaming, "I got it!" But, before I could reach the door it flew open, revealing 4 pretty girls who just happened to be my best friends. A smile instantly spread across my face when I saw them, knowing that this girls night was definitely needed.
My smile dropped off my face as I realized the weird looks Jessica and Charlotte were giving me. "Wha.. oh, yeah. I know it's hideous guys. Makes me more ugly than I already am," I said remembering the hideous bump on my head. "At least it went down slightly," Britt said reassuring, "And you're not ugly!" "Are you kidding Britt?" Breanna started, "It's the same size as it was when we first saw it! HUGE! But, you are right about Chlo not being ugly. Even with that ugly thing on her forehead." Jess and Charlotte nodded in agreement probably still taking it in. "Well, thanks I guess?" I said as I turned to go back upstairs.
Trailing behind me, my friends followed me up the stairs to my bedroom. I opened the door and we each took our usual seats. I plopped on my bed with Britt and Bre, as Jess sat in my comfy desk chair, and Charlotte landing on my neon green beanbag.
"So," Charlotte started nervously, "What am I gonna do about my date tonight?" And with that we all started chipping in ideas about what she should wear, how her make up should be done, and what she was going to do with her hair.
Finally deciding on keeping her hair straight, we decided to start on her make up. Charlotte took Jess's spot in my desk chair and the rest of us gathered around her each with some sort of make up product. Jess started applying foundation and concealer on Charlotte as I chose a medium purple eye shadow to help her brown eyes sparkle. I applied it after Jess was finished and added a lighter purple uder her eyebrow, blending it into her crease and into the darker purple. Next up was some black eyeliner, which Bre had and she applied it on her upper and lower lash lines. Lastly, Britt stepped in front of Charlotte holding black mascara, unscrewing the top. She applied it over her lashes, a few times on each eye, and we all stepped back to look at our masterpiece.
