"I can't believe I'm stuck doing this algebra shit.." Airi mumbled in irritation as she scribbled into her graph worksheet.

Shoto sighed for the fiftieth time that day "You forgot that it's a rise over run and the question is asking you to write down the gradient of the line. We've barely done anything with algebra so far, this is easy stuff."

"Yeah, yeah. Mr know-it-all." Airi emphasized before looking at her sheet staring at it blankly before turning her head robotically to the side "How do you solve this?" she asked.

"y=mx+c" Shoto answered finishing up his homework that was due next week.

"Japanese please." Airi begged sounding annoyed and even more confused.

"y=mx+c; c is the y-intercept and m is the gradient. If you prefer standard form then use ax+by=c but if you have a point-slope form you use y-y = m(x-x) where (x,y) is a known or given point on the line." Shoto explained while writing down his answers, multi-tasking.

Airi blinked owlishly "I am confused."

"Remember a horizontal line has the form 'y=c' c is the y-intercept. And also remember that a vertical line has the form 'x=a' a is the x-intercept. Is that simple enough for you?" Shoto said.

"I don't speak German."

"That wasn't German." Shoto told

Airi face then scrunched up in frustration as she tossed her math notebook and graph sheets out the open window "I give up! Let's try doing history instead!" she demanded making Shoto switch from his math homework to his history one.

"Alright, but you better put in some effort into this subject. We have a test on next Monday about the American history." Shoto said taking out flashcards with questions.

"Pff, easy stuff I am an American citizen after all. I'll read the question for you first." Airi shrugged thinking this was all too easy.

"Ok." Shoto said holding out his hand which had a stack of flashcards out to Airi.

Airi took a card from his hand, the very first one "Alright first question: Who was the 19th president of the United States of America?''

"Rutherford B. Hayes" Shoto answered immediately without hesitation.

"Spot on! Shoto, ok now my turn!" Airi said excitedly as Shoto took a card from his hand.

"What ended in 1896?" he asked.

"That's easy.." Airi then started turning pale "What did happen at that time?!"

"That's not an answer."

"OH I know! This is one of those trick questions right? It's 1895!"

"No. On November 3 – U.S. presidential election, 1896: Republican William McKinley defeats William Jennings Bryan."

"I knew that!"

"Sure.. you did." a chilling voice said from the door making the two teens avert their eyes to see the angry hero in the doorway. Airi immediately went pale as she spotted her math notebook in his hands along with her graph papers that she threw out the window.

"Um.. dad..h-hi how's it going?" Airi said nervously as she leaned against her wall.

"It's lunch time." he said, smiling cheerfully at the two "Also Airi bring your work with you." he added before skipping off.

"Your old man seems like a troublesome one." Shoto commented following him out the door then turned to look at Airi "You coming?"

"Yeah, I just need to get a few things with me." Airi replied looking through her drawers to find a pencil, or a eraser. Shoto nodded and went downstairs. Airi sighed as she dogged through stuff in her drawers only to not find what she was looking for "Ugh, where is that thing?" Airi exclaimed her hand accidentally knocking out a frame on her desk. She sighed and picked it up but when her eye caught sight of the picture it made her stop for a minute;
