In my 18 years of life I can truly say I've never fallen in love. My whole love life has consisted of random hook up's, the occasional girlfriend and just fooling around. Out of the few girlfriends I have actually had, I've never really have felt anything for any of them except maybe lust. But love, that has definetly never happened to me.
There's this one girl though. Her name is Kelly and shes gorgeous, blonde hair and hazel eyes that have you gawking at the sight of her. Her slender figure and her bubbly personality make you like her within a few minutes of meeting her.
I've known her for about a year now, we met during our home economics class in the beginning of our senior year, we had to cook some fancy pasta and she ended up being my partner. She was an amazing cook but she also made sure she tried to teach me what was going on. She was sweet and gorgeous I knew at that moment that I wanted to have her as a friend, I wanted her in my life.
And, as months passed we became close friend in and outside of school. We would hang out almost every day and do everything together. Plus, her parents loved me and my parents loved her.
So, here we were in a random DVD shop looking for movies to buy and go watch while we wasted away another Thursday night.
"What do you think Aiden, romance or comedy?" Kelly asked as she chewed away at her bubble gum. I rolled my eyes at her choice of genres. I was typical for Kelly to either want to watch romance or comedy she never ventured to any other types of movies, which in some sense annoyed the hell out of me.
"How about a horror film, action, hell, I'm up for some adventure flicks too"
"For fucks sake's Aiden those are all guy movies"
"And yours are all girl movies"
"Aww, c'mon Aiden please, y'know I hate scary movies and action and adventure movies bore me easily." She did have a point, every time I tried making her watch any other type of movie she either ended up curled into a ball hiding her face from the screen or just bored to death and babbling about random shit.
"Fine, just, don't pick anything cheesy." She smiled and wondered off to the romance comedy section and disappeared within seconds.
While Kelly was busy looking for a movie to buy I decided to just walk around the store. It wasn't until some time of browsing around that an employee approached me to ask if I needed help. She looked around to be our age and had piercing blue eyes.
"Hi, I'm Serena. Is there anything I can help you with?" I was about to respond and tell her no, when I heard Kelly calling my name by the cash register.
"Actually, my friend is already paying over there, but thanks." She gave me a curt nod and disappeared further into the store.
It was a nice cool night to walk home as the leaves of the trees were falling and the air felt crisp and clean. It took us about ten minutes to make it to my house and we settled into out Thursday night routine.
Kelly made her way upstairs to my room and I made my way to the kitchen to make us some snacks. After waiting for three minutes for the popcorn to be done, I grabbed two cans of Pepsi and bowl of popcorn and headed into my room.
Kelly was comfortably laying in my bed waiting for me and as I settled onto the bed she reached for the remote and pressed play.
"So, which movie did you end up buying?" She smiled a cheesy smile.
"50 first dates." Of course Kelly would end up doing the exact opposite of what I tell her and end up buying the cheesiest movie ever.
One hour and a half later the movie was done and Kelly was asleep. Looks like she's going to end up hogging all of my bed and sleeping over. I smiled. Typical, this was a typical Thursday night.
