Maya's P.O.V.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. Great.

"What?" I grumbled. It was six in the damn morning. What the fuck did Kayla want?

"Did Ayanna get home safely?" she boomed. Her voice was so fucking loud. Why the hell was she even awake?

"Yeah, she did. Why are you even awake? It's six in the fucking morning," I snapped. I wasn't a morning person, deal with it. I shifted in my seat, glancing at Ayanna. She was still sleeping.

"I was worried about her. I didn't even say bye to her at the party and she hasn't messaged me since," she said. "I thought she was in trouble."

"She's not," I replied. I was fully awake now. There were a few cars parked in the car park and a couple of people walking inside Asda.

"Okay, well tell her to call me once she's awake. She wasn't answering my phone calls."

"Okay," I said.

I grabbed Ayanna's phone out of her purse and saw that her phone was dead. Great.

What now? I felt anxious and fucking stressed. I was starving and my head was aching. Only then I remembered that I also had to go to work today. Fucking awesome.

I worked on weekdays from nine to three at Tesco's and I would sometimes work at my friends coffee shop from five to seven for extra cash.

I had enough money to keep me going at the moment so that was fine. I got out my car and grabbed my toothbrush and toothpaste from my car boot. I had a black tank top and black leggings on from last night. I didn't give a fuck if I looked like a scrubber, there wasn't a lot of people in Asda anyway.

As predicted, there was hardly anyone in Asda as I walked inside to go to the toilets.

I looked at myself in the mirror and cringed. My black hair was a tangled mess, it was sticking out everywhere. My dark brown eyes looked boring and ugly and my lips had lost their colour. My face was paler than ever and my nose was pink. It was fucking freezing that's why. I was pretty sure it was going to rain today.

I splashed some water onto my face and brushed my teeth, I looked a little better so I guess that was good. I brushed my fingers through my hair to make it look somewhat good and I was good to go.

I bought myself a coffee and a vanilla flavoured yazoo milkshake for Ayanna and two cheese sandwiches.

"Wake up," I nudged Ayanna as I turned on the heater in my car. It was so cold and my hands were numb.

The sky was dull and it was windy, I needed to make a plan. We couldn't live in this car for ever and we were not going back there.

I heard Ayanna groaning from beside me. She was awake, finally.
