Chapter 19

<<<<<<<<<<Will's POV>>>>>>>>>>

I walk beside Rain through the pack village. It's been three days since I saw Miranda. When I woke up this morning or should I say Rain woke me up. Then proceeded to gleefully tell me that I'm starting my training today. The last two day were fairly uneventful. Well except for Molly's visit monday evening.

>>>>>>>>>>Monday Evening<<<<<<<<<<

I'm still on edge from yesterday. Seeing Miranda again for the first time in two years has been hard. It doesn't help that when Rain get's back from the meeting and all she will tell me is that not all is as it seems. The other kicker is Miranda and her mate are not leaving with their alpha but are staying here to join the River Wind pack.

“Where the hell are they?” I grumble to myself.

“They're on their way now.” Rain kisses me on the cheek.

The fact that I'm not moved to a violent outburst at her kiss is a great stride forward for me. I temper me pride with thought of what happen yesterday. You still have along way to go Will before you are even close to being close to better.

“They where supposed to be here almost two hour's ago.”

“They got a little side tracked.” Her eyes are dancing with mischief.

“What do you mean by a little side tracked?” I can feel myself slide into protective brother mode.

“Now William please don't make a scene when they get here.” She must have picked up on the shift in my mood.

“Don't William me. Your brother got side track (I make air quotes) with my little sister. I know I've been out of the game for awhile but I've played it to. (She gives me a look that says she doesn't believe the last part.) I get an image from my wolf giving me a duh look. “Okay fine I never played the game but I know when it's being played.”

“Your sister is a big girl and from what I saw yesterday. She can take care of herself just fine.” She says gently.

“An if Gawain was just a human. (I pause for a moment picking my words carefully.) I would agree with you but he isn't. So please forgive me when I worry about my sister being alone with something that I couldn't defend my self against.”

Not only could I feel the anger rising inside of me but I can hear it in my voice. The beast stir's in it's cage. Rain doesn't hesitate. She forces her way on to my lap. She wraps her arms around me. Pulling me to her as tight as she can. She rocks me back and forth.
