VIOLET GOT OFF from her bed and headed towards the door. She opened it and headed outside her room. She went to the living room and saw her aunt sitting on the coach watching a telenovela.
"Hey aunty, can I get permission to go to a classmate's confirmation?" Violet sits down next to her aunt and faces her, awaiting her response. Galina looks surprised by what Violet said, "A confirmation? Violet are you being more religious now? Oh if your parents saw you now!"
Violet let out a sarcastic laugh, "Not even in their dreams." Galina just laughed. "Who's this classmate? And are the girls going as well?" Violet sucked in some breath, and took her time before she replied back.
She slowly let out her answer, "Veronica... Lodge." Before Galina can reply she quickly said, "The girls are also going!" She flashes a cheeky smile at her aunt.
"Veronica Lodge? As in the daughter of Hiram and Hermione Lodge? No, nope! I'm not going to have you in proximity of them."
Violet groaned, "Please Galina, it's just to celebrate Veronica. It's nothing to do to support her parents. Besides why would I want to be anywhere near them?" Galina thought it through.
"I'll be safe aunty. I'm a nobody to them. I'll be with the girls all the time anyways. Please?" Violet begged with a pout on her lips.
Galina gave in, "Fine, but I want updated texts that you're fine and having fun. I also want you home at a reasonable time okay?"
Violet hugged her aunt tightly, "Yes! Done deal. You're the greatest aunt, you know?" Galina smiled knowing her niece is content.
