•• Haldi/Manjha - A wedding ritual where a paste of turmeric, rosewater and sandalwood is applied on the groom and then the same paste is applied on the bride too.

Shivi's eyes opened, she sat up straight..

"Omg!! Aaj to Meri shaadi hai.."

She smiled to herself.. but within no time her smile started fading.. though not completely.. tension tried taking over her excitement but couldn't..

She was taking deep breaths to calm herself down.. she took her phone.. was going to text Mohsin.. but stopped midway..

"No aaj text nahi karti.. directly shaadi ke vakt dekhungi aur tabhi baat karungi.."

Just then Samarth and Sheetal flung open the door, came inside and sat on either side of the bed..

Both in unison : Diiiiiiiii!!!

The trio hugged.. their excitement was at the peak..

Sheetal : Diiii.. oh my god.. aaj aapki shaadi hai.. I still can't believe.. itne din se preparations chal rahe hai par aaj ki excitement is like.. I can't explain in words..

Shivi smiled and looked at them..

Samarth : Di chalo abhi.. you gotta get ready.. kuch der mein haldi bhi to aane vaali hai..

Sheetal : Haan na.. jiju se utra hua haldi aap pe chadega..

Shivi blushed at the comment..

Her mother knocked the door and opened it slightly.. she came inside..

Yashoda aunty : Utth gayi meri bacchi.. chalo baccho jaldi se ready hona start karo.. Sheetal, Shivi ko taiyaar kardo haan..
