Gajeel POV
I stood next to Levy in the book store, he favorite place to go and relax, it smelled of plastic and an antique couch, everything was fairly old with modern touch and it was cozy, reminded me a lot of Levy, I know knew why she would come see me and smell of this scent, cause she spent almost every day here when she could, while she wasn't looking while she rearranged books, I smiled down on her, she looked my way a second later hardly giving me time to drop the smile.
"Let loose Gajeel" she said mocking me from last night.
"Keep talking like that and you'll end up on my shoulder."
"Anything but that." She said smiling I chuckled and looked at the book shelves, discovering the categories.
"I'm gonna be over at room 2." She said pointing at the labeled room, as she walked away I read the book titles.
"My Life Without You"
"Forbidden Love"
"Sexy meets Fiery"
"What the fuck, why do people read this shit." I mumbled to myself as I skimmed the pages, a couple of words caught my eyes and second later I found myself reading into the chapter, totally in trance by what's happening in the book.
What got my attention off the book was levy's faint voice in the back room, no big deal till I heard another voice, a man's voice talking to her.
I crept aside the door to see that it was Siren, fucker was everywhere, he was looking at levy with a grin, only I can grin at her, for some reason all these jealous thoughts came to my head, the night before must have made me thought somehow me and Levy where a thing and that she was mine, she's far from mine, she could be anyones, she could be Siren's.

"So you like Alchemy?"
"Mhm, I like leaning about the healing properties of rocks, I try to collect them on missions, my partner enjoys it too so it's not like a bad thing, just a hobby, he doesn't mind."
"Ahhh, so this partner, you said it was Gajeel?"
"Yeah, Redfox." She stated turning the page half listening. I frowned.
"I had to look him up, saw something, about the sacrifice ritual, with your old partners." I growled at the thought of him learning this information. Levy slowly looked at him, fully fixed on him, hands numb off the book that falls to the floor. She silent for awhile.
"Why did you feel the need to dig in my and his business."
"Because, I know the guy is sketchy Levy, I mean have you seen him? He's killed people, he's nearly killed you, the months of waiting for the bruises to go away, having to go to physical therapy to regain how to talk and walk. Your wrists probably have stars of the rope clenching onto your skin for hours." He reached for her hands.
"Dont." I said with my hand gripping his midway to hers, I stood over levy, towering her and the pathetic fuck who attemped to touch her, I buried my eyes into his, feeding off the fear, his skin color went to white, I so badly wanted to shove several hard cover books up his a-
My thoughts stopped when I felt Levy's hand hold onto the one that was to my side, her fingers were faintly trembling. I let go of Siren's hand immediately, took one long look at him, then walked out of the library with Levy.
I walked fast out into the street, not knowing where to go I just walk fast, watching my feet. Levy hurried behind me.
"Gajeel?" "Gajeel??" she said, I forced her voice out of my head.
"What did you hear? Are you going to slow down? Where are you headed? Gajeel!" She begged, I gridded my teeth and walked even faster. I was entering a alley way when she ran in front of me.
"STOP! your acting like a fool!" She yelled, her hands pressed on my torso, I stared at her, her small body, the first time ever realizing the faint marks on her wrists.
"I never told you I was sorry." I weakly said to her, I felt my throat lump up. "I'm so sorry Levy." I said as I felt water in my eyes.
"Gajeel.." she looked at me, shocked by my tears, tears that haven't come down in years. I didn't care anymore, I just didn't.
"Do you know," I picked her up and set her down on a pallet. So we matched eye level. "How much I resented myself for doing that to you, how many times I wanted to change things. I had never felt so alone and betrayed by myself ever before, watching your friend cry watching you slowly getting better. Every single night I looked at you through the window of the hospital, making sure your heart still was beating, ever since then I have felt your presence whenever you are near me, and I know it's the same for you." I took her hand and pressed it to mine.
"My heart aches for you."
