Like an empty emitionless person that she had now become, Nandini went to her dressing room determined not to let the recent events get to her performance and let down the people who had actually supported her. She wasn't going to let him win.
The phone rang, as she took hold of the dress she was supposed to wear for the performance.As the call kept ringing she judged it was important and took the call.

She quickly rushed out of the dressing room only to dash with her best friend.
Navya was worried not seeing Nandini around for a long time since the event started. This competition was a very big deal to her and she could afford nothing going wrong, it was important to her newfound crush as well which only made her resolve to win stronger.
Seeing Nandini exiting her dressing room still not ready, with an expression that could easily lead anyone to believe that Nandini had just seen someone being killed,made all sorts of negative thoughts race across her head. But before she could start her rant about how Nandini should have been ready and their nearing performance, her friend beat her to it.
" Navya, tumhein meri jagah leni hogi (You have to take my place). I'll explain late."
Saying this she ran out leaving Navya no time to react.
Navya stood stunned as Nandini practically flew out of the room after giving her a shock at the newfound information that she had to take over Nandini's place. She quickly called her and tried to go behind her but couldn't reach her both ways. She decided to be practical, and went to practice her new part in the performance.

He controlled his tears and stepped out of his dressing room. They may not be on the best of terms right now but there was no way he would miss her performance, music to him was peace and he hoped that it worked the same purpose for her.
The background music started and the spotlight fell on Shahid at the drums, Navya on the key board and Harshad on the mice.
"Where is she?"
A fear he hadn't even thought of clouded his mind, did his words affect her so bad that it is reflecting in the performance.
Nurturing the hope that she may take a late entry he calmed down his heart.
