Oh gosh, here the boys come, yet I don't have a milkshake to bring them all to my yard. I notice that Candy is freaking out, she mumbles something under her breath as her dyed red hair sticks to her forehead. Her hair is pulled into two very long ponytails that are near her ears, while her fringe is around eyebrow level and goes longer to where it covers her left eye, she looks to me with dark green eyes and an expression I can never forget. Worry. James and Jesse talk to the police and I flicker to look at them as rain pours. I hear some of it, "They're innocent. They were with us while we were partying in the restaurant for Ian's birthday," I notice how Jesse chokes on his name, "they is not a part of the incident and were with us the whole time and so was Caydence," my mind wonders off, gosh, their english isn't half bad. Ha, I taught them so well. I was as terrified as Cay, but not anymore, negativity gives me a reason to be positive. The cuffs are unlocked as soon as the twins finish their sentence, however, Krait stands behind them and the policeman gestures to the young lady to keep at bay. They want his part of the story and oh gosh, it will take a while, his social skills are horrid.
Explaining the whole thing, I look to him surprised, he just got us out of here. The young lady with horrid dyed pink hair lets us go and I wipe my hands on my dress. "Finally." I sigh as Candy's hands shake badly. Grabbing her hand, I pull her into a hug before whispering, "It's okay. They're just trying to find Ian." I pull back and let her climb onto my back as I hold her thighs to piggyback her as she buries her face into my shoulder. I feel wet tears and I sigh sadly, she misses him and ever since she did, she's been clinging to me so I don't go missing as well. It's hard enough missing a best friend and hoping her other best friend won't face the same fate.
Usually I am bubbly and happy, but I just feel dull and guilty, I have a plan but she'll try to stop me. I want her to come with me instead, but for now, we walk along the pavement and head into my cabin. Sighing, I settle her down onto the couch, walk over to the shiny crystal-like bathroom and turn the tap for the bath water to rush out. Placing my hand under the smooth water, my hand jerks back as the icy cold-water rushes into the tub, I turn the hot water until it becomes just right. After all that's happened, Candy needs a bath, she is like a daughter who needs to be taken care of.Singing a tune, I hear footsteps, a hand places onto my shoulder. Looking over my shoulder, I see Candy, "Your singing is amazing." She compliments and I smile as she turns to the mirror. "I hate my freckles, they're everywhere, on my nose, my cheeks, under my eyes when I look depressed as shit," she laughs awkwardly, "I need to stop hating myself." After being crouched and huddled over the bath tub, I stand and turn it off, "You know, those freckles are what makes you look like you, so does your hair and your eyes, even your little button nose," giggles flow out of her mouth.
"you're perfect. In each and every way. God made us for a reason and had you in his mind." I mock the Pastor on TV shows, even more giggles flow out, and it brings a smile to my face. "It's ironic that we watch those shows, yet we don't even believe in God." Her giggles turn into laughter and I can't help but laugh too. "Your bath is ready." I then walk out the door and close it behind me slowly as she sighs. I can hear the splash as she probably dips into the bathwater then walk away to lie onto the couch and watch some Netflix.
